An interesting journey

I liked this book, Nikki's self-narration really adds to the stories you hear about her life and makes the little fun facts she shares at each location more fun. I liked the open view into her life, thoughts, and emotions.

Narrator sometimes went over things too many times. Otherwise a good story.
Nice that customs were carefully explained.

Liked the content, the author's history, her diction and the emotions transmitted in her voice and the reading

A vulnerable narrative (if not terribly exciting)

The author did a great job of telling her story and focused on the personal insights gained through travel. If you are looking for a heartfelt travelogue from the millennial perspective, you’ll enjoy the listen. That said, I would have appreciated more compelling travel stories ; the selected anecdotes, while meaningful to the writer, were a bit dull.

Interesting story - Narration lacking

I enjoyed the memoir. It is a pretty good story. However, I suspect it would be better to read it yourself than listening to the author flatly reading her own words. All she does is read. There is no conversational tone or much of any inflection in her voice. Recommend just downloading the book without audible. You'll enjoy it much more.

Too much angst

I must be the only person who disliked eat, love, pray- so if you like that book, you’ll like this one. And I couldn’t get past her pronunciation of words like Cotten and Manhattan… would have enjoyed a bit more about her travels too.

What a wonderful story of growth, and travel in the physical and personal sense. Audio is good quality and pacing is excellent

Her determination

Primarily a memoir about how to fulfill your dreams and obtain a career in the travel industry. Small snippets about 1 site she visits in various countries.

Not very deep, not very interesting.

As a digital nomad, it seems as though I’ve traveled a lot more than the author of this book. Her stories are very standard, everyday experiences that happen while traveling. When you travel enough, you have a lot more unique experiences and gain deep insights into the places you visit, people you meet, and into yourself. It doesn’t seem that the author has had enough experience to tell a story of great depth. Or alternatively, she just didn’t share the truly interesting experiences. If you’re someone who hasn’t traveled much and wants to know what the everyday life is like of someone who travels casually and infrequently, you may enjoy this. For those who have gone on journeys of their own or crave great depth, you will probably keep waiting for some big plot that will never reveal itself. There was no clear storyline, no major character growth, no themes to take away. Just random stories of someone who’s done a bit of traveling.
