over the top violence

this book rolled around in the violence so much that it took away from the story.

another great book

once again another great book in a spectacular series. I love reading these and getting to know the characters

Loved it

Twists and turns in every paragraph. Sometimes the Lt is pretty abrasive, but that’s the job. I had read the book but enjoyed the characters so more with audible.

My favorite series in audiobook!

Perfect performance by Susan Erickson as she bring us the story in this In Death story. She makes Eve Dallas come to life with her superb narration. Highly recommend every book in this series. A+

excellent... Keeps your interest from the very beginning... I've already listened to it twice... Susan Erickson is an excellent narrator..Nora Roberts/ JD Robb always writes intriguing stories

There are much better out there.

It might be because I got the abridged but this book did it hold my interest as others. It was my first time with an abridged JDRobb and I won't do it again. I missed the bantering between Dallas and Peabody and Rouke and Dallas relationship.

Get the unabridged version

For an abridged version it’s fine, but if you’re accustomed to JD Robb books and you know there should be more, recognize that this is an abridged version and there is A LOT that is not included

What disappointed you about Calculated in Death?

The story was too short and not filled with the usual richness of sideline characters that I am used to enjoying with this particular writer. I never buy abridged novels for this same reason. It seems like there is always something missing.

What could J. D. Robb have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Increased the story to include more interesting characters. More mystery as I figured this one out15 minutes into the book.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The narrator was one I am very used to hearing with JD Robb.

What character would you cut from Calculated in Death?

I would add characters and depth and mystery. Not take away from the characters all ready there. I just expected more . I won't be purchasing these mini books any more. Really not worth the price or a credit. Short and lacking is not always better.

Any additional comments?

I will try not to purchase anymore books of this nature that have such a short duration. Something has to be left out time wise. I wonder how well this story could have run with more time and effort towards twists and plots.
