great course

what a great course . i had a lot of fun studying and hopefully I'll pass the ceh next year

Ease of listening

I have to say that I have listened to several different books but but I have to say this stands out to me as one that was easy to listen to easy to flow with and comprehend the whole subject matter. being a very technical person I was leery as far as if the book would be able to explain the technical aspects of the information and it did a very good job of not only explaining briefly what was being talked about but give you a great synopsis of the subject whether it be cybersecurity, networking or hacking.

Well Made But Has Some Issues

This audio book is actually decent, and helpful as a secondary piece of study material. It does seem like the author doesn't have that deep of knowledge about the content and there are some pieces of incorrect information.

Great resource for price

The material is a lot more basic than other study materials I have for this exam. But this is a low cost way I was able to study while cooking, cleaning, etc. which naturally takes up a lot of my time. I also prefer audio learning much of the time. They get a few small details wrong, but overall this had a strong foundation of information for the CEH and was conveyed well. Note to speaker: I could do without most of the transition commentary, such as the frequent message of “you can go back in this lecture to review.”

Narrator reads out of a textbook

The narrator has a good voice, but it feels like he's reading right off of a textbook like a text to speech bot would. Isn't convincing at all about having any understanding of the content, and reads pretty slowly.

I'd recommend just reading the material. This really isn't going to save you any time nor would it be likely to help you remember any content in spare time, as if progresses too slow and isn't bottom line up front style.

Loaded with incorrect information

If you don't score higher on the "final exam" than the narrator then you aren't ready for CEH. Most questions are absurdly easy but at least 5 or 6 are wrong. Lots of other misinformation throughout the book as well.

Seems to have been written by a novice who has heard a few security terms but doesn't really understand them.

However, it did accomplish the goal of keeping my mind on the topic of CEH while I was studying and spending a lot of time on the road. For that, I give it 2 stars.

Almost useless

Almost useless for preparing for the exam. I do not think, that it is possible to pas the exam if one uses this book for study and have no prior knowledge.

Could be used as only preparation material, if one has good prior understanding about all the topics

Not helpful

I really wanted this book to be great. Especially if you take a minute to listen to the audio on the ec book, it’s awful. Unfortunately, this book has a lot of useless information. For instance during the lectures it states to know port numbers and different things to type into google to produce advanced searches. While the author does list some of the information it’s not the port numbers or google searches being covered in the course. But I’ll give it to the narrator, he has a wonderful voice.
