A must read if you have teens or pre-teens!!

This audiobook was convicting to me. It is very relevant for what is going on in the world today. I want to buy the book now because there were important resources and also steps to take. I didn't take notes but I should have. I highly recommend this book

it's an investment in time but well worth it

I found the audio book helpful - full of anecdotal as well as scientific information, encouragement, and suggestions. I'm grateful that it is unabashedly and unapologetically Christian at its core and foundations. It does take time and I recommend it to any parent who needs some guidance and education. There are no quick and fast answers or emergency strategies - at least I would not suggest it - within its pages. But sometimes all you need is reassurance and hope and you can find both in this book.

Must read for parents!!!

I am a pediatric nurse practitioner and have read a plethora of parenting books. This book exceeds any book I’ve read by far. It is grounded in Christian beliefs which I believe is the most important aspect in raising children. Thanks Dr. Dobson for this amazing resource!

For this Dad

Fascinating and eye opening glimpse into what it's like to grow up as a girl into today's world. Really helpful on the journey towards understanding their needs and as a dad why I must at all costs connect and engage my daughter. l have come to realize it is the most important gift I can give her!

PLEASE READ THIS BOOK!

As a father-to-be of a daughter due in a month or so, I bought this book with low expectations. Not overly familiar with the quality of Dr. Dobson's writing, and completely uncertain of what fatherhood actually looks like (grew up without a dad, myself). Little did I know, this book would blow my mind!

I"m really grateful that I downloaded this book , and am blown away at how beneficial this book is in understanding WHY girls need their fathers- beyond the obvious father/child relationship. I understand moreso now why so many girls/women do the things that they do as teens and adults- and it is HEARTBREAKING. If only all fathers read this book and took it to heart!

Please, for the sake of your girls/women in your life, read this and consider your actions wisely! There is a book for boys, as well!

Wonderful Book.

This book was everything I needed, and so much more! As a mother of two girls 10, and 12, I am already dreading the upcoming years, and was looking for the Lord to guide me through it and I found this book. The way it explains the hormone changes and the importance of each relationship (mom and dad individually with the daughter) was so helpful. I’m still dreading the hormone changes but I believe I’ll be a little bit wiser now I’m how I react, and handle it.
