Historia
Srimad Bhagavatam, "The Beautiful Science of God", is a systematic revelation of the Supreme. In this fifth canto we learn of God’s greatness, how his supreme will keeps everything in perfect order. We first meet the powerful King Priyavrata, who rose to the heavens like a second sun to dissipate the darkness of night and create the divisions of Bhumandala. Then comes his son Agnidhra, who weds the celestial beauty Purvachitti and begets on her nine sons, who each become a lord of one of the provinces of Jambudvipa, the great earthly island on which we reside.

Historia
Srimad Bhagavatam is the most prominent of the Puranas, or histories of the Ancient World. The original Sanskrit text of the work, penned by the great sage Vyasadeva, says it is "as brilliant as the sun", because its teachings can illuminate our consciousness even in the darkest times. Much like the Arabian Nights, it has an intricate structure of stories within stories; epic tales of divine incarnations, saints, sages, gods and earthly kings that span vast periods of time.

Historia
Said to be the world's longest poem, Mahabharata was originally composed in 100,000 Sanskrit verses by the ancient Indian sage Vyasa. Revered as a sacred text within Hinduism, it contains the great spiritual teaching Bhagavad-gita. Krishna Dharma has condensed the epic into a fast paced novel that fully retains the majestic mood of the original. A powerful and moving tale, it recounts the history of the five heroic Pandava brothers, sons of the Emperor Pandu.

Historia
These 1028 poems, grouped as 10 ‘Circles’ (mandalas), have variously been called hymns, poems or songs by Sanskrit scholars. The Rik (so pronounced by the ancient Angirases clans, or Seer-Priest families) was an experiment with sound. The emphasis is always on sounding the words perfectly. The focus tends to be on the ideas rather than on the authors in Vedic literature, they are largely religious in nature, reflecting the world view and spiritual preoccupations of ancient India.

Tantra Illuminated takes the listener on a fascinating journey to the very heart of original Tantra: its key teachings, foundational lineages, and transformative practices. Since the West's discovery of Tantra 100 years ago, there has been considerable fascination, speculation, and more than a little misinformation about this spiritual movement. Now, for the first time in the English language, Tantra Illuminated presents an accessible introduction to this sacred tradition that began 1,500 years ago in the far north of India.

Hare Krishna!
So grateful to all the devotees who made this retelling available! Prabhupada’s Srimad Bhagavatam is so potent and enchanting but very dense; this retelling makes the knowledge accessible and peaks my curiosity to look for Prabhupada’s purports for his beautiful explanation of the complicated concepts. Jaya Prabhupada!

Brilliant Continuation of the Cantos
I've made a commitment to listen to all the Cantos. As Krisna Dharma mentioned in one of the early introductions to the series, there are 12 Cantos to digest.
I hope they make them all available. Right now, I only see 9. So, I am making my way through reading them. Each book picks up where the last story in the previous book ends.
If you've read the Mahabharata, the Bhagavad Gita, or any of the ancient texts, you'd know that they are remarkable on how to live a principled/spiritual life with gratitude and grace.
I never tire of these epic stories, and I come back again and again with fresh ears. Always enlightening. Deeply moving.

Beautiful
A beautiful book, it's words stirs the love of Lord Krishna in my heart. I loved every second of listening to it and it's beautifully narrated. The only word that comes to my mind when I think of this book is 'beautiful'.
