It all starts with the radio. Dorothy's husband has left for work, and she is at the kitchen sink washing the dishes, listening to classical music. Suddenly, the music fades out and a soft, close, dreamy voice says, "Don't worry, Dorothy." A couple weeks later, there is a special interruption in regular programming. The announcer warns all listeners of an escaped sea monster. That afternoon, the seven-foot-tall lizard man walks through Dorothy's kitchen door. She is frightened at first, but there is something attractive about the monster, and the two begin a tender, clandestine affair.

Days listened: 5 (well I was v. busy and could mostly only listen at night!)
Summary of book: V.V.G!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It was a v. entertaining listen! Bridget Jones is a light-hearted fun/funny read/listen. Obvs books are always better than movies, but I’m still going to watch the movie ASAP! I also just finished buying the next book in the series. Can’t wait for more of Bridget’s shenanigans!

Still wonderful!
Have read this book half a dozen times and this is my first foray into Bridget's world on audio. Exactly the right voice for this entertaining character. Still laughed aloud at bits that I've read many times. Highly recommended.

So much fun!
I loved this story, from beginning to end! Bridget cracks me up! I just wanted to blow off life and keep listening. Great story!
I truly enjoyed the marathon, as well. Will look for more items narrated by Ms. Church!

Sensational!
I adore Bridget Jones’s Diary! Helen Fielding writes a story with an empathetic, loveable central character that warrants multiple reads (or in the case of this audio book - multiple listens) and I find myself coming back to Bridget at least once every few years.
Imogen Church captures Bridget perfectly in her performance! A 10/10 experience all round.
