Picking up where her blockbuster best-selling
Bridget Jones's Diary left off,
The Edge of Reason finds Bridget in an up and down relationship with Mark Darcy. It's four weeks later, and already the honeymoon is over: the man of her dreams votes conservative and folds his clothes at night, making Bridget feel pressured to do so as well. But all of these problems pale in comparison to Rebecca, a beautiful, man-hunting arch-nemesis without a girlfriend code of ethics when it comes to stealing another woman's man. As always, Bridget's best Singleton friends Jude and Shaz are there to give her advice from the pages of
Getting the Love Your Want and
Keeping the Love You Find with some unexpected results.

If you could sum up Bridget Jones in three words, what would they be?
Caring, idealistic, and cluelessWhat other book might you compare Bridget Jones to and why?
It reminds me a lot of The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Age 13 3/4. Both characters are struggling to have a decent love relationship, and are constantly caught in outrageous situations brought on by their friends, family, and own poor judgement. They both long to be taken seriously, but are absolutely clueless. Since both have good hearts we keep hoping for their happiness, even while laughing at their misadventures.Which character – as performed by Rosalyn Landom – was your favorite?
Bridget is definitely my favorite character.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The book did make me laugh a lot. Some of the situations Bridget gets herself in are way over the top, but it still is very entertaining.Any additional comments?
Because some of the situations are so far fetched, it makes this book just a little less enjoyable than the first. Still I've listened to it more than once, and will undoubtedly do so again. Can Bridget survive the worst holiday ever?

Where does Bridget Jones rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I do not rank titles by number because it is like asking a wine taster to rank all wine on the same scale: It would be unfair to both future listeners and to the art of audio. However, I bought this with cash since I wanted a book which I knew I would return to again and again.
Once, Helen Fielding had the thrown of feel-good safely in her very capable hands. Then, came author after author none could take her place, still: Internet grew, many young people might find the chapter in which Bridget talks about not "getting the online thing" acient, in reality it is an image on what the genere used to be before Carrie, Blackberry Z10 and iPadt's.
Surely Bridget is naive, not thin and she'd be glued to the Audible self-help section. Which is why this IS essansial. It stands the test of time like no other "feel-good" book. I first read this when it came out:One time. I knew what was going to happen but I laughed extremly hard.
I even have to say that the way the narrator nailed male voices was extremly well done.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Mark: He is honest, funny AND handsome which is rare. What does Rosalyn Landom bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I saw the movie when it came out but felt it was too polished. She bringes out the images and sounds which the movie failed to provide. Outstanding job!Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Bridget writing Christmas cards while being drunk...Any additional comments?
Fantastic! Get it today ladies¡A friend in audio format: Credit proof for ladies!
