Everything I hoped for and more

Heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. I didn't know whether to be angry or to cry and found myself doing both with all the happenings in this series. I am looking forward to the next book and wish it was coming out a lot sooner.

I loved it and the narrators have a great easy voice to listen to and the characters are well described and the repeat of information on who the characters are blends in smoothly it isn't annoying..

Fourth novella in Widow’s Island series, this one had an extremely surprising ending.
This novella, featured Deputy Tessa Black and Special Agent Cate Wilde.
Dr. Henry Powers continues in the series as doctor and coroner for Widow’s Island and provides support when crimes are committed.
Henry and Cate’s relationship progresses.

Whoa. What???

This series has me enthralled. Which is interesting, because I don't really care for novellas. But while the books in this series are only a few hours long (which I'm sure many prefer), the characters and part of the storyline continue through. So, I'm in. From the beginning.

This particular addition to the previous stories put my head in a spin with some things I didn't see coming. Excellent. These characters are also beginning to feel like old friends, which is why I generally prefer longer novels. But the personalities here are rich, complex, and engaging in their own ways.

I'll keep reading as long as Kendra Elliot keeps writing!

Twists and turns!

Loving the stories of widows island! Watching the characters develop has sent a delight, sure it has some areas where I wish different word choices were used, but otherwise a solid short story series

Best book!

This book just kept me surprised. I absolutely Loved it! Never went the way I thought it would, It was much better.

We finally learn what happened to Cate’s friend...

In this episode...the investigation into a hit-and-run leads to clues to what happened to Cate and Tessa’s friend, Samantha, 20yrs ago. You’ll never see it coming! Great ending to this novella series.

Loved the setting!

I thoroughly enjoyed this series, I was hooked from the first book. I was disappointed when I realized I had read the last book in the series.

Yes! This one makes reading the first three in the series just...well, you will find out. A hit and run accident takes the investigation in places that lead Tessa and Cate to a discovery that has been many years in the making.
