Love this book!

Amazing book and it was a great conclusion to the series! As someone who didn’t suffer infertility but multiple losses- there were many scenes that hit home with my own feelings I’ve had I took 1 star away from performance because this narration style is not my favorite (love a good duet narration instead of this! lol)

LOVED this story, BUT…..

I love this so much. I love these characters so much and I didn’t expect Cara and Emmett to maybe be my favorite couple out of all of them.

BUT I was almost as heartbroken with the ending as I was the overall storyline. I feel like we mourned and grieved, and were with Cara and Emmett through all of the ups and downs of their tribulations, almost as if we were right alongside them. I cried right with them and chapter 21 almost gutted me. I also loved her representation of the husband’s point of view in this situation. However, the ending almost gutted me too, and not because I was sad the series was ending, although I very much am. But because she got the wish she was wishing for, or at least the one she wanted for the majority of the book, at the very very very end and we didn’t get to go through that part with her. (How Abel was handling it, her anxiety over miscarriage, the risks, the birth, did her mental health decline at all, NOT GIVING US ABELS 1st BDAY, etc) We found out she was pregnant and then boom 7 1/2 years later and we get just a small glimpse. I have so many questions still and I guess I just don’t feel closure with the series ending. There is so much more we could’ve gone with her through. I would almost say we went through so much heartbreak and got little reward at the end because Abel’s story was just as heartbreaking. We didn’t get to experience the last part of their journey to their family of 4 and because of that small piece I can understand why to some the ending feels so unrealistic compared to the very much realistic meat of the book. It really bummed me out😣 but besides the ending, I loved it so much!🫶🏼

Also P.S. the narrators were genius. Avery was such a good choice for Cara.

Prepare the tissues!

Wow wow wow!! Prepare to ugly cry with this one! Becka Mack held nothing back with this one. It was all the feels and so incredible amazing, as always! LOVED THIS ENTIRE SERIES!!

My favorite series!!!

I feel very seen with this book! No one understands what fertility struggles are like until you've lived it yourself. Cara and Emmett are my favorite!

Emotional rollercoaster!

This book and performance were chefs kiss! So so good. The voice actors did a phenomenal job portraying the characters emotions. I laughed and cried, felt the heartbreak and love that was throughout the story. 10/10!

Equally Beautiful & Gutwrenching

A fabulous finally to a great series!
Still with its witty banter, hot spice, hockey references, and amazing friend group - with a much deeper level. This explored infertility and left be sobbing on the floor one minute and hotttt the next.
It was so special to be in Cara’s shoes and what an end to an amazing series.

Heartbreakingly beautiful

I think I sobbed for a good majority of this book. Cara and Emmett’s struggle with infertility was accurately and beautifully portrayed. I wanted to jump into this story and give them a hug. My heart ached for these two. The narration was so good. I felt the emotion. I felt the heart. The character’s pain was the narrator’s pain.

Bring 2 boxes of tissues

I don’t think I’ve ever cried so hard in my life reading this. I cried but I also laughed and swooned. This book broke me and then remade me. Emmet and Cara’s story is one for the record books. I’ll be thinking about this story for years to come and when I’m ready to be hurt again, I’ll re-read it. What a beautiful end to an amazing story, can’t wait to see what comes next ❤️

Beautiful

This was the perfect ending to the series. I am sad it’s over but listening to this book was so amazing! Alex Kydd is one of my favorite voice actors and the emotion he had performing this book was amazing!

Unlike the other books in this series, this one just wouldn’t end. Finally had to just stop and make up my own ended because I couldn’t listen to anymore.
