Every parent needs to read this book

This isn’t another how-to parent book. This is hard data, research and science backed book. Dr Sax is faithful to the research and the science behind everything he speaks about. I can’t praise this book enough. I am buying copies and handing them out to everyone, parent or not, because we all know at least one “boy adrift” in our lives. Forever grateful to Dr Sax.

eye opening

it led to me do my own research, particularly when it comes to plastics.
I don't see many people talking about this author or this book. I wish the world would talk to him more on talk shows or interviews so that we could hear rebuttles or other agreements with his arguments.
I'm curious if his data is up to date or not also, as many of the subjects are currently being studied.

Enlightening.

This is a must read. Like the author mentions, I had heard a little on each of these topics but the expansion he provides makes me want to go full-force into making steps for a better future for my children.

Very useful information

Parenting doesn’t come with instructions. If you look around and deal with people on a day to day basis you can see that things are changing quickly, and not all of it for the better. This book offers a lot of useful insight and data for any parent raising boys/young men while trying to navigate the modern world. Some of the information presented puts statistics to the things you just suspect. Some of the information was completely new and jarring. Passive parenting is not an option, to raise productive young men you have to be INVOLVED and not just present; and the points outline in this book will show you why and how to avoid some of the pitfalls

This book really hit home for me! I would definitely recommend this book to any parent whose child is already diagnosed with ADHD or thinks their child may have it.
This books brings a lot of things into perspective for me, as I am currently raising a ‘boy adrift’. Sax is able to educate his readers on 5 factors that boys face today and does it in a way that I think every parent can relate to.
