I decided to read this book to get advice on why my budding skin care business hasn't taken off despite hard work and effort. The book provided much more than that. I loved hearing about Ms. Scott's own personal story and how everyday purpose and values can weave into and drive all aspects of a business - an element I hadn't thought too much of until now. This book is inspiring- a jolt in the arm that I needed. Thanks Kendra Scott.

Great story

Loved her story and could relate to some of them. The story was so good I did not want to turn off the audio till it was over. She is definitely a powerful human being and has been thru a lot only to keep shining brighter then the sun.

Business and Life Lessons

I am a fan of Kendra Scott jewelry and assumed she has had a very charmed easy life. I was surprised by her story from humble beginnings to being bullied to family tragedies to personal and business hardships. I loved her sense of optimism and resiliency. Her self made business savvy— and I took away some lessons and insight into my own struggles. Really great story, read well, and I will probably listen to it again for some of the thought processes that I want to apply to my own life.

Inspiration

I liked the inspiring challenges & personal stories, but I did not like as much that it included lots of death, grief and sadness- although you cannot change that part of her story of course. I enjoyed it overall but I thought the beginning and ending were stronger than the overall book (& mid-sections)

Creative story-telling and vivid imagery

I enjoyed the way Kendra moved back and forth from her childhood past to her more recent experiences and filled in details in a way that kept the reader/listener engaged and intrigued.

Exactly what I needed

I wish I could tell Kendra thank you for this book. If you’re on the fence about listening, just do it, you won’t regret it. This is the type of book that enhances your perspective and helps you get to where you’re meant to be. I’m forever grateful of it’s existence when I needed it most.
