Marvelous & Vivid

Oh my, I knew nothing of this author and book but was attracted by the word Colours. Exploration of color was my favorite subject when I was teaching at a local university and museum school. To me, the marginalia in medieval books is much more interesting than the religious stories. The author brought the two together and brought them to life in the story of Lady Matilda’s Book of Hours. She also managed to make Will, Matilda, and Gemma feel quite human. This book is not a Romance with a conventional HEA, rather it leaves its future open to our imaginations. The reader brought nuance and warmth to her interpretation.
