Book Hits: Gripping Short Thrillers Collection

These four short thrillers tell a full story. Each is fast paced with a lot of action that keeps the listener fully engaged. I couldn't stop listening.
The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Jay Prichard's voice was perfect for this project. He put a lot of emotion into the performance. An enjoyable way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

PT Reade is a master at grabbing your attention from the very first paragraph and holding it throughout the book!
Jay Pritchard has a great voice. His diction and cadence brings the characters to life!

Impressive series!
OMG - total corruption, crime and drauma. the storyline kept me on pins and needles so I read the novella straight through without putting it down and with the book set, there is no waiting to find out what happens next .. The characters are well written and defined. And, as usual with P.T.Reade a well rounded crime series.
The narrator really captured the energy of the characters as well as Reade's impressive storytelling style. They make a great team.
I recommend this book-set highly.

Bite-sized Noir Done Right
If you like Mickey Spillane or other pulp-noir writers, you'll enjoy Book Hits. The stories are short but full of action and the narration style is paired well with the pace. If you want a fun ride, this is a great set.

Brilliant Stories Filled Intrigue and Thrills
Would you listen to Book Hits: Gripping Short Thrillers Collection again? Why?
Possibly. I have a lot of books in my TBR (to be read) pile. However, these would be perfect to listen to again while waiting for an appointment, picking up kids from school activities or a short road trip.
Which scene was your favorite?
The most memorable scene is the last in TAKEN. I don't think it was my favorite, but it is the one that will stick with me the longest.
Any additional comments?
This series which runs at just under 4 hours for 4 books, takes the listener all over the country and introduces 4 very different circumstances. When I * agreed to listen in exchange for my unbiased review, I was hesitant. However, once I began listening, I HAD to finish it in one sitting.
Jay Prichard Performs all of the characters seamlessly. His narration, along with the content, had me from "page 1". Prichard never disappoints.
I would recommend this series to anyone who is a fan of mystery, thrillers and detective style books. Surprisingly, there is no strong language and very little descriptions of violence. It is perfect for all audiences, in my opinion.
