Resumen del Editor

The number-one New York Times best-selling author is back with an electrifying new entry in the FBI series featuring Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock.

FBI Special Agent Griffin Hammersmith, last seen in Backfire, has been recruited by Dillon Savich to join his unit in Washington, D.C. Savich sees something special in Hammersmith, an almost preternatural instinct for tracking criminals. While on his way to D.C., Hammersmith plans to visit his sister, Delsey, a student at Stanislaus School of Music in Maestro, Virginia. Before he arrives, he gets a phone call that Delsey has been found naked and unconscious, lying in a pool of blood, after a wild party. The blood isn’t hers - so to whom does it belong? Griffin must protect Delsey, but from whom?

Meanwhile, back in D.C., FBI Agents Savich and Sherlock have their hands full when the grandson of a former Federal Reserve Bank chairman is found murdered, every bone in his body broken, his corpse frozen at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial. Was it revenge against his grandfather for the banking crisis, or something more insidious and personal?

It’s a bitter winter, and in the endless cold, evil lurks.

Enjoyed book!

What made the experience of listening to Bombshell the most enjoyable?

Paul Costanza did an excellent job as one of the narrators but Renee Raudmans voice was very annoying because she has a hissing sound to her "S's" I would have preferred if Mr. Costanza had read the entire book.

Would you be willing to try another one of Renee Raudman and Paul Costanzo ’s performances?

If Ms. Raudman would stop hissing, I would be happy to listen to both of them. This problem was especially obvious when the consonant "S' was at the end of a word.

One of two authors I can read over & over

Great stories by Coulter! The two narrator’s, female doing females and male doing males, are a BIG PLUS to the enjoyment of listening!

Anna’s voice

Anna sounded like a much older woman than described and made Ruth sound like she was talking thru false teeth.

Great Story

The Male Reader accentuated the last syllable of every sentence. ..most disconcerning otherwise, the story was great. It held my interest throughout.

NOT ENOUGH INFLECTION!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The narrators are too whispered that the story becomes lost ...as a driver, they tire the listener out rather than stimulate.

Female narrator reads like a kid learning to read

Renee raudman needs to learn how to read properly. She stops in the middle of as to all the time. It is annoying. I had to speed up the narration to be able tolerate it. She needs to speak in complete sentences so it sounds natural, not like a kid reading a book

Other than that the male narrator and the story were great

Poor Narration

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The narration

If you’ve listened to books by Catherine Coulter before, how does this one compare?

It is hard to get past the poor narration. It changes the whole timber of the book.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Renee Raudman and Paul Costanzo ?

Jim Meskimen and Deanne Hurst. Actually I have been happy with all the narrators up until this one.

Any additional comments?

Awful narration.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend the book, yes, but not in audible form. These are, by far, the most horrible narrators I have ever listened to.

How could the performance have been better?

Different narrators.

Any additional comments?

I wish I had heeded the multitude of reviews that said not to buy this book because of the narration. I love this author and enjoy the series, so I thought "it can't be that bad"....I was wrong...it was much worse. The book is actually painful to listen to at times and I have NEVER taken this long to finish a book. For me, if I see another book narrated by either one or both of these people, I will enjoy it the old fashioned way...in print form.
