I'm Done With David Blake
I've been listening to this series because I love British detective novels. Blake's writing is not as good as the last 3 authors i have binged (Sally Rigby, Joy Ellis, Peter Grainger) but I stuck with the series because the plots are complex. The police in this series are dysfunctional but Bluebell Wood is the worst of the series. I am somewhat of a smart-ass but I realize when it's not appropriate. These police don't know when to stop. And why do all the detectives and others always start questions with "I don't suppose..." as in "I don't suppose you know the victim's name?". There's even a pregnant woman who says to her husband, "I don't suppose you could call a doctor because my water has broke". It may be just me but I can't take it anymore.
