slow moving story. characters nit very sympathetic. could not empathize with them or sutuations. Harry Hole stories much better

Great Characters! Great Story!!

I don’t usually enjoy first person narrations, but I slowly got sucked into the story. Then into the characters…then, of course, I had to hear the end!

NesbØ needs to go back to his regular guy.

Narrator did a great job. Having said that, I was ready to return this after only a few hours. The only reason I kept going was that I really wanted to see how it ended. Ending was anticlimactic. Won't be so quick to jump on the next NesbØ novel.

As always, the development of characters , motivations, plot, & no pulling punches makes him one of the best authors.

I am such a big fan of Jo Nesbo that I will buy every one of his adult books for as long as he writes them! This is the first book that I have not given a five star rating to the story. For some reason I wasn’t rooting for the main characters as much as I normally do. It’s still a good story.

Two for One: Twice as Nice & Double the Fun

Thoughtful and provocative thriller of murder with less mystery since we are taken along for this roller coaster ride of intrigue and romance. Complicated relationships, interesting business tactics, and strategic game planning.

Many twists in a complex family. Two brothers plot to take over a small town. Murders in their background. Puzzling end.

A story well told

Mr. Nesbo is a wonderful story teller. To be able to make a psychopathic killer sympathetic, is unheard of. This book is another example of how well Mr. Nesbø has honed his craft.

NOT NESBO'S BEST

Interesting story about brothers Carl and Roy with good narration, but the female character was dreary and flat. End of story was quite anticlimactic, as if the last chapter was somehow forgotten by the publisher. An overall disappointment.

Marvelous sang-froid

Deftly concludes the saga of two brothers locked in a life and death struggle with family demons and a cast of supporting characters who bring unexpected twists and turns. Nesbo does it again!

Good story

Good story and belivable. Good reading, and fast moving thriller. Perfect 👌 strongly recommend and Nesbo great !
