Thanks in part to the biopic directed by Tim Burton, starring Johnny Depp, and bearing his name, Ed Wood has become an icon of Americana. Campiness wears thin

I guess what I like best is Wood's irrepressible optimism. But his films really help his story telling, as off beat as it may be, compared to his written stories. I wanted to like it better but it's all over the place.
