The West African country of Sierra Leone has long been known as a diamond-rich area. With civil war ripping the heart out of the country, all aspects of life there are unstable. Worst of all, guerrilla rebels, in their lust for the resource-rich land, have sunk to depravity and terrorism to evict people from the country.

It's into this maelstrom of political and emotional turmoil that Ben and Danielle must go. The leader of the rebels, a fanatical and charismatic woman known only as the Dragon, is not content with ravaging her own country. Riveting

Even though I had been addicted to "Murder, She Wrote", I thought Jessica, and not Jon Land wrote the scripts. In Blood Diamonds he takes me to places familiar, and issues so touching I had to forgo sleeping altogether. Not great if you want to grow tall.

Don’t be fooled by the title!!!

Other than a very few honorable mentions of anything to do with actual “Blood Diamonds”, this book or it’s description to entice you has absolutely nothing to do with them. If this book hadn’t been free with my subscription I’d ask for my money back.
