If you are expecting a baby and are nervous about child birth, you NEED this book! I am pregnant with my first baby and I can’t tell you how much confidence and power this book has given me to overcome my fears of labor and delivery! Listening to all the birth stories was a wonderful reminder that every birth story is different but all of them are beautiful! Heidi’s education through storytelling was exactly what I needed in my pregnancy and I can not recommend this book enough!

If you want to be prepared for your birth or just interested in birth stories overall.. I highly recommend this book. It’s written by a doula and an OBGYN together. This is perfect to be completely informed going into your birth no matter what birth plan you have.

Heart Warming and Educational

Heidi beautifully walks your through each week of pregnancy. The sweet notes from the womb were to heart warming and strengthened my resolve to have a healthy and happy pregnancy. All the birth stories were so difference and informative. It is beautifully written and I highly recommend it!

Listening to Heidi tell the birth stories of her past mamas has given me the calm I need going into the birth of my first babes.

She shares diverse stories of birth allowing you to learn about many different interventions that could possibly be utilized or needed in your own birth. Whenever a new intervention or concept is discussed, there is a “pop out” moment where she goes on to explain it in more detail helping you to fully understand!

As I’m late in my third trimester now, my favorite way to listen is during my daily walks! Her calm voice and stories allow me an opportunity to focus solely on my own upcoming birth and connect with my babes.
