Big Deck Energy by Kim Loraine was a fun, flirty, and steamy good time! Kim Loraine brought all the swoon with this perfectly written romance that will leave her fans falling in love with all things "big decks." I loved everything about Elles and Ethan's mistaken identity to lovers' romance! The characters, the pets, the accents, the setting, just completely captivated my attention and my heart from start to finish.

Stella Hunter and Shane East narrate this audio in duet, which I love! In my mind, these two truly embody Elles and Ethan! Stella Hunter brings so much passion and heat to her performance of Elles's personality. She is spot on in conveying her determined, desirable and hesitant sides which makes you adore her character even more. Shane East is a dream as charismatic, hockey hunk, Ethan. The way he calls Elles "love" in his delicious British accent is sure to make you blush and fall a little harder for his Ethan. This duet narration is not to be missed!

Overall, I loved this audio! If you love mistaken identity romance with a British hockey hottie (aka the Emperor of Douche Bags) , a talented interior designer, a "Meet Cupid" dating app, visits to Pike's Place Market, sitting on a big deck watching orcas swim in the ocean, hot phone seggs, lots of in person steamy time, devoted pets, hockey players with accents, and an HEA that will be sure to melt hearts and leave you swooning, then you will love Elles and Ethan's romance! I always look forward to more from Kim Loraine!

I love the idea of using Shane East and his#bigdeck to write a book about it. Very clever and the fact that he was a hockey player in this is awesome! I love Shane East and Stella Hunter and they were both in the book that created the big deck energy so bravo to Kim Loraine for creating this new world for us!

Another Fabulously Entertaining Story & Listen🎧

I am a huge fan of Kim Loraine’s writing style, she has a knack of bringing you into her stories alongside the characters, giving you an inside view of what they are seeing, feeling and thinking. And she creates the best characters, ones that you can connect with and relate to, ones that are easy to like, care about and even fall for. I adored the two lead characters, Elles and Ethan, they meet in the most interesting of ways. Elles has not had the best luck with men but her friend signs her up for a new dating app and she winds up sending messages to someone on that app, with the hottest of abs and the handle of “Big Deck Energy”. Ethan Bryne is a recent addition to the Seattle Cyclones Hockey Team and management asked him, as a team member, to sign-up for a new dating app for a promotional tryout. He had no interest in dating, but did so because he was a team player. He was not expecting to meet anyone or to be entertained, but that happens when he receives an angry message from Belles Elles, anger not towards him but for all men. Ethan finds Elles messages very entertaining and he just messages back, the witty banter between them is hilarious and after a while both start looking forward to hearing from the other, finally agreeing to meet and when they do the chemistry between them strengthens further. This is an entertaining and fabulously delightful romance novel that is wonderfully plotted with a perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt emotions, and some hot sexy times. Kim Loraine, thank you for another amazing story, the laughs and the emotional rollercoaster ride. It was great to see Maverick and Clara again, too.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Shane East and Stella Hunter, enough said!! These two make a great team performing in duet style and doing wonders bringing these characters and story to life. They have a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that fit that character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable, and just I picture the characters to sound. Shane East nails it as Ethan and Stella Hunter does the same for Elles, both handle the witty banter and dialogue with ease and land the humor effortlessly. You can hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture the characters’ emotions and project them into their performance. These entertaining storytellers are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

I could not wait to listen to this book. When two of your favorite narrators combine with one of your favorite authors, it’s a non-decision to grab and listen.

Kim Loraine writes the most amazing characters. Read in duet, Shane East and Stella Hunter do an amazing job of bringing Ethan and Elles to life.

I received an audio copy of this book to listen and review, and i thought the story was just so great!! Shane East and Stella Hunter are by far some of my favorite narrators. They just have this way of bringing a story to life.

Big Deck Energy is a sports romance... but there is so much more to the story than sports! Ethan plays for the NHL hockey team and part of their contract is to sign up for a dating app. Being recently single, he's ok with it but lost a bet with a teammate who listed his name as @BigDeckEnergy... Elise is sooooo done with men after a big hiccup with a Co-worker went so wrong. At a night or drinking with her bestie, she also gets signed up for the dating app. When she comes across Ethans profile, she immediately decides he's the epitome of all horrible men and gives it to him over DM.

Thus how their friendship starts... and then later, the romance. Except Ethan fails to tell Elise a vital detail about himself - what he does for a living - and this causes major conflict.

Overall, i loved the story, the characters, the narrators, and the tease to the next book in this series!!
