Big Deck Energy by Kim Loraine was a fun, flirty, and steamy good time! Kim Loraine brought all the swoon with this perfectly written romance that will leave her fans falling in love with all things "big decks." I loved everything about Elles and Ethan's mistaken identity to lovers' romance! The characters, the pets, the accents, the setting, just completely captivated my attention and my heart from start to finish.

Stella Hunter and Shane East narrate this audio in duet, which I love! In my mind, these two truly embody Elles and Ethan! Stella Hunter brings so much passion and heat to her performance of Elles's personality. She is spot on in conveying her determined, desirable and hesitant sides which makes you adore her character even more. Shane East is a dream as charismatic, hockey hunk, Ethan. The way he calls Elles "love" in his delicious British accent is sure to make you blush and fall a little harder for his Ethan. This duet narration is not to be missed!

Overall, I loved this audio! If you love mistaken identity romance with a British hockey hottie (aka the Emperor of Douche Bags) , a talented interior designer, a "Meet Cupid" dating app, visits to Pike's Place Market, sitting on a big deck watching orcas swim in the ocean, hot phone seggs, lots of in person steamy time, devoted pets, hockey players with accents, and an HEA that will be sure to melt hearts and leave you swooning, then you will love Elles and Ethan's romance! I always look forward to more from Kim Loraine!

This Authors Books Just Keep Getting Better The More I Read! I Have Read Several Of These Interconnected Series Books, Most Out Of Order And They All Still Blend Together. Story And Narration Are Spot On Perfect!!

I love the idea of using Shane East and his#bigdeck to write a book about it. Very clever and the fact that he was a hockey player in this is awesome! I love Shane East and Stella Hunter and they were both in the book that created the big deck energy so bravo to Kim Loraine for creating this new world for us!

Another Fabulously Entertaining Story & Listen🎧

I am a huge fan of Kim Loraine’s writing style, she has a knack of bringing you into her stories alongside the characters, giving you an inside view of what they are seeing, feeling and thinking. And she creates the best characters, ones that you can connect with and relate to, ones that are easy to like, care about and even fall for. I adored the two lead characters, Elles and Ethan, they meet in the most interesting of ways. Elles has not had the best luck with men but her friend signs her up for a new dating app and she winds up sending messages to someone on that app, with the hottest of abs and the handle of “Big Deck Energy”. Ethan Bryne is a recent addition to the Seattle Cyclones Hockey Team and management asked him, as a team member, to sign-up for a new dating app for a promotional tryout. He had no interest in dating, but did so because he was a team player. He was not expecting to meet anyone or to be entertained, but that happens when he receives an angry message from Belles Elles, anger not towards him but for all men. Ethan finds Elles messages very entertaining and he just messages back, the witty banter between them is hilarious and after a while both start looking forward to hearing from the other, finally agreeing to meet and when they do the chemistry between them strengthens further. This is an entertaining and fabulously delightful romance novel that is wonderfully plotted with a perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt emotions, and some hot sexy times. Kim Loraine, thank you for another amazing story, the laughs and the emotional rollercoaster ride. It was great to see Maverick and Clara again, too.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Shane East and Stella Hunter, enough said!! These two make a great team performing in duet style and doing wonders bringing these characters and story to life. They have a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that fit that character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable, and just I picture the characters to sound. Shane East nails it as Ethan and Stella Hunter does the same for Elles, both handle the witty banter and dialogue with ease and land the humor effortlessly. You can hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture the characters’ emotions and project them into their performance. These entertaining storytellers are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

My first K Loraine and I will be back for more!! Shane and Stella are my absolute favorite romantic pair. These characters make my heart swell and their sexy exchanges reward the waiting. Conflict that’s not too severe or prolonged, yay! Brava!! 👊🏼👍🏼💪🏼👏🏼

Elyse has bad luck with guys but her luck is turning back around when she meets the hottest and mouthwatering British Hockey Player, Ethan. I love how playful the characters were by chatting on the phone or texting with each other. They had great chemistry as you read/listen more and more of their cute and flirty banters. Shane East and Stella Hunter were the voices for the characters and I might add that these 2 together never fails to bring characters to life. A Great pleasant pair indeed! It was quite short love story about a Hockey player and a girl who just trying to give up men due to her past but this one was just low drama, full of fun and giddiness!!! It’s puppy love and feel good vibes on this one!

I am a huge fan of Kim Loraine and a sucker for a great hockey romance, and this book was all that and more! Ethan Byrne (aka “Big Deck Energy”) is the perfect guy that you would never expect to be single, let alone on a dating app. He is a charming, funny, gorgeous, British, professional hockey player who has been burned before, but is contractually obligated to join a dating app. Elyse (aka “Elles Bells”) is an interior designer and has been encouraged to join the app by her best friend. One night after a few too many, she randomly messages “Big Deck Energy” with a tirade about how terrible men are, and unbelievably a beautiful friendship is born.

The way their relationship developed first online, then over the phone, and finally in person felt so organic, genuine, and real and at just the right speed that I didn’t even realize the book was almost over. The hurdles they faced to reach their HEA were reasonable, manageable and not filled with over-the-top or unnecessary angst. It hit me just right for a super steamy and perfectly satisfying listen on a lazy afternoon.

Shane East and Stella Hunter were brilliantly matched and absolutely nailed the fun and flirty nature of the story, and the back and forth banter in text messages was pure gold. I loved this story and give it all the stars I can.

It’s not necessary to have read Kim Loraine’s cowboy books before (but you absolutely should!) to thoroughly enjoy this book, but if you have you will love the Easter eggs she includes with past characters and new ones for future stories coming soon. Bravo!!
