Acerca de esta escucha

Reverend Richard A. Morrisey (born 1858) was an African-American biblical scholar, a Doctor of Divinity, and the pastor of a number of churches in the South and in Pennsylvania. In 1915, he published Bible History of the Negro, with the hope of inspiring a greater desire to read the Bible which he describes as giving "the Negro a place among the foremost races of the world, in wealth, in education, in honor and in religion, a history to which every member of the race may point with great pride and profound gratitude to Almighty God today”.

The book brings together all the references to black people in the Bible, covering, among others: Ham, son of Noah, Batsheba, Simon the Cyrenian, Nimrod, Melchizesek, Hagar, Ishmael, Rahab, and Candace, queen of Ethiopia.

"The Bible History of the Negro" by Richard Alburtus Morrisey offers a comprehensive look at the presence and contributions of Black individuals in the Bible. Morrisey, a respected African-American biblical scholar, aims to inspire pride and a deeper engagement with the Bible among Black readers by highlighting their historical and religious significance.

The book covers various Biblical figures and narratives associated with Black heritage, including Ham, Bathsheba, the Queen of Sheba, Simon the Cyrenian, and the Ethiopian eunuch. Morrisey challenges the misinterpretation of Noah's curse on Ham, which has been historically misused to justify slavery, arguing that God's blessings on Ham's descendants cannot be revoked by Noah's

Regarding the origins of Black people in the Bible, the book includes references to notable figures such as Nimrod, the founder of the Babylonian Empire, and Candace, Queen of Ethiopia. It also emphasizes the inclusion of Black people in early Christian communities and their roles in key Biblical events

Overall, "The Bible History of the Negro" is a significant work that seeks to correct historical inaccuracies and provide a richer understanding of the Bible's diverse characters and their heritage.

Negro is not a descendant of Kham... the zondervan bible dictionary list this information and it has been proven genetically...furthermore Deu 28:15-68 says the ppl of the book, Israel, will have these signs upon them. Do not buy this book. Scientists have shown and these are not my words, the lack of pigmentation, caucasian, from Kakus/Caucas Mountains is a defect and recessive gene. so how could any race of pigmentation be an inferior people 🤔
