This was an interesting and honest look at HR, workplace culture and job satisfaction. It’s difficult to find someone that will speak the truth. I found it funny, refreshing and I had more than a few aha moments. Loved it and recommended to everyone I know - from everyone to those that love their jobs to the unemployed.

You Need This in Your Life - It’s Worth the Listen

Have you ever been stuck in your job, life, or what you find purpose in? Well then look no further than taking the journey with Laurie! While much of the direction and guidance Laurie provides in her book are mantras I have followed for years, it’s easy to lose sight of those through the every day hustle and bustle. Her guidance was a slap on the forehead and wake up call for me to get back in the lane that I had been veering out of to get my purpose back. What do I want out of life, work, relationships, and more is what this book truly allows you to explore. And added in are some funny, yet insightful stories that keep you hooked.

I can tell you, I am glad I sought out the audio book because Laurie’s ability to take you on the journey directly (she narrates it) gives the dialogue and guidance that much more meaning. I just finished this book and I am already starting it again!!

Amazing content and performance

I've been a fan of Laurie's for years, and this book did not disappoint! Chock-full with incredible insights, great suggestions, and hilarious and engaging performance, I'm walking away inspired to bet on myself and feeling prepared with plenty of tools to do so.

Valuable & Refreshing HR Perspective

Many times, I thought or said “Wow” out loud, either because it wasn’t at all what I expected to hear or it was just extremely relatable. Laurie is down to earth with her human and professional experiences which gained her a great amount of wisdom. I found her HR industry and life coaching advice inspiring and helpful. As an HRCI cert pro, I recently heard her speak and was happy to find her book on Audible. I felt like I wanted to give her a high-five throughout and hope to hear her speak again.

Great read

Initially I wasn’t going to read it because of the opening story. That story felt like a challenge to finish the book. Love her other interesting stories and lessons. It was worth a read.
