Acerca de esta escucha
Bathsheba is taken against her will by the most powerful man in Israel. A month later, she discovers she carries the evidence of their secret, dangerous encounter. With her husband at war, this pregnancy could mean her death or untold greatness. When the king finds out that she is with child, he immediately summons her husband home from war, a cunning plan in mind.
Will the king's plan work?
Will her life be spared?
Will there be any consequences for the injustice?
Will love grow in the middle of pain and give birth to second chances?
This novel is a fictional retelling of one of the greatest Bible stories of all time. This is a story of injustice, betrayal, deception, heartbreak, forgiveness, love, redemption, and second chances. It reminds us that there are consequences for our choices, and we serve a God of justice. He can use the tragedies in our lives and turn them into purpose.
No pain is ever wasted with God.

Women were there. For centuries, discussions of early Christianity have focused on male leaders in the church. But there is ample evidence right in the New Testament that women were actively involved in ministry, at the frontier of the gospel mission, and as respected leaders. Nijay Gupta calls us to bring these women out of the shadows by shining light on their many inspiring contributions to the planting, growth, and health of the first Christian churches.

The prophet Nehemiah's cousin can speak numerous languages, keep complex accounts, write on rolls of parchment and tablets of clay, and solve great mysteries. There is only one problem: She's a woman in a man's court. In her early childhood years, Sarah experienced the death of her mother and her father's subsequent emotional distance, and she came to two conclusions: God does not care about me, and my accomplishments are the measure of my worth.

Wow, wow, wow!
Captivating, revealing, intriguing, spellbinding, fascinating and much more is how best I can describe this read, ‘Becoming Queen Bethsheba’!
Amanda gave a rendition of Queen Bethsheba from a perspective that gives voice to the woman rather than have her spoken for. A deviation from the norm where men are made to speak for the womenfolk.
‘Becoming Queen Bethsheba’, although a work of fiction brings to life Bible passages referenced in the book. You can tell that a lot of research had predated this work of art. Amanda, took us into a world that existed thousands of years before her and her reader is set on a stool watching the ‘movie’ unfold!
To have Lucy Scott sound out every word was truly the best. Her voice not only kept me intrigued by the plot but kept me engaged. However many times that I had to replay sections of the book it sounded like new material to me.
I am truly proud to announce that Amanda Bedzrah is to Christian Fiction as J. K. Rowling is to Fantasy. I cannot wait for the next gift she gives to the world of Christian fiction as she reels out her next novel in the series of Women of the Bible. What a great story teller with the maturity and knowledge of an old soul, is the person of Amanda.
By the way, may I ask for a producer to bring ‘Becoming Queen Bethsheba’ to the big screen! This time, I see myself with an oversized box of popcorn in hand and a blanket over me as I take in every scene therein.
Brilliant!
