I'm sickened
I miss the Andrews so much. this book at the end of it I almost threw up while I was bawling I am pissed that we don't get to know exactly what happened that really pisses me off I don't like that at all. it triggered me a lot because of all of the mental illnesses that I see in this family. I mean all of BC Andrews families have mental illness but new age now oh gosh I can't talk about it it makes me so sick I just think it was sadly real. s*** like this happens too much in real life. insane that's all I can say this book was crazy and I wish I hadn't read it

Distractingly anachronistic.
The story was fine, but the time inconsistencies are hard to ignore. Like any book in the "V. C. Andrews" anthology it reads like it was written in the 70s or 80s, but then it also has odd references to concepts like cell phones and Ed Sheeran that don't feel like they match. Imagine if you're reading "Flowers In The Attic" and the Dollengangers suddenly start jamming out to Megan Thee Stallion. Yeah, it's like that.

not worth it
I've been reading VC Andrews for long time now and this was a great disappointment to her earlier books. The story dragged on with no real focus and when it hit the climax of they story the boom was over. Character development was okay, nothing exciting. I wouldn't recommend if your a fan of older stuff. Not sure where the ghostwriter is going with her name and books. Hope the next stuff is better.
