Great explanation

Liked it from cover to cover. Narrator was well done and interesting. I enjoyed learning about the Civic University.

Laudable idea destroyed by incompetent messenger

The author has hit upon correct ideas on engaging with people you disagree with and meeting in social spaces to discuss things. After that, the entire point of the story is obscured by the author’s obnoxious and persistent need to tell you how absolutely horrible, fascist, and racist the president elect of 2016 is. The irony does not seem to dawn on the author that it’s not possible to say all those things without inferring the same judgments upon Trump supporters, who he supposedly wants to be in communion with. Over the top Hitler and 1930s Germany, comparisons are not only unseemly from the author, but in the context of eight years time do not age well. It’s too bad the author didn’t read this book written by someone who seems to be truly practicing these beliefs.
