Love this series! Go ahead and get both books!

This book was great. I couldn't wait to see how it would end. The characters grow on you. Please, Ms. Cates, don't let this be the end of our listening pleasure write more. The narration was perfect. Robert Black nailed the voice. Hope to hear more from him. Bunny Warren you nailed it too. Thanks for the listening experience. The only problem is it ended way to soon.

Great story

This is the continuation of Jack McLachlan and Laurelyn Prescott’s story and it was a well written story that drew me in.

The narrators Bunny Warren and Robert Black did an okay job however their accents grated on me and I had a hard time connecting with them.

Narration destroyed this book

Both narrators were so awful I could not really get into this book. I would not recommend listening. It must be a decent book based on how many have rated it but the audible version is terrible.

Great Story HORRIBLE NARRATORS!

I should have read the previous reviews. There were many low ratings for the narrators. I’m stopping at book 2, just can’t handle those voices.

Funny, Good, and Sexy

What did you like best about this story?

I loved these books, and it had a great story, just had to remember to stick to the story line and remember narrators only read, some are better than others. And I adored the music that was mentioned along with this.

Which character – as performed by Robert Black and Bunny Warren – was your favorite?

Going to have to say I love Bunny's interpenetration of of Laurelyn. She did a good job with Laurelyn and she even did good with Jack Henry. And I need to say again, I did love these two books.

If you could rename Beauty from Surrender, what would you call it?

I think the name was great.. it was a Surrender for both.

These are GOOD Books, first and you have to have the second to follow up. They are a great couple and it was cute, and I laughed at them, and also cried. If you can just keep in mind that the narrators are only reading this, you will enjoy this. It's good. You will fall for Jack Henry. For sure. you will...

I love how he tried real hard to find her and to win her over again. The story line was great, it gets to the point.

Definite Surrender

So this was the first series that heard from both the narrators. They have done a phenomenal job.

REUNITED AND IT FEELS SO GOOD!!!

Beauty from Surrender is the second book in this series and it was a wonderful, winding adventure in the love between gorgeous Aussie, Jack McLachlan and all-American beauty, Laurelyn Prescott. This books starts off with the two lovers separated as Laurelyn leaves Jack (according to his original proposed plan) without any personal information or a formal goodbye….only a note. Jack is left heart-broken and miserable until he decides he can't live without Laurelyn and hires an investigator to track her down. In book 1, I was waiting to see Jack suffer because all along, he has been the stubborn one, but it wasn't as rewarding as I thought. It hurt to see Jack suffer maybe because Laurelyn was also in pain as they both try and move along in a world without each other. Three months later, Jack finds Laurelyn and the coming together of the lovers was such a relief!! Now, there is a lot to catch up like 3 months of make-up sex (no worries they get right on that project), but there's also new challenges to the realization of their love. From balancing Laurelyn's dreams of continuing her country singing career in the U.S., and Jack's need to get back to his business in Australia, there were quite a few times I was not sure how it would all work out. Yet, Cates sews all of these loose ends together very nicely and with plenty of erotic-steamy romance, drama and twists and turns that will leave you breathless.

One of the reasons I have gravitated to this series is because I really enjoy a love story that focuses on the pure indulgence of the relationship between lovers. This book is all about how two lovers from different countries, routines, and lives conquer every single barrier to reach their HEA. The secondary characters just enhance this story and I found everyone to be relevant (from Laurelyn's crazy bestfriend to Jack's fun and loving family). I found Jack's mother to be so hilarious and awesome, and it was sweet to see how much Jack expressed the desire to settle down and have babies with Laurelyn…..WHOA talk about a 180 degree change!!!! And, for both Jack and Laurelyn change is good. Because of all of the suffering involved in building their lives together, it makes the ending of this book all the more sweeter and absolutely blissful---Love always finds a way. Oh, I loved the songs Laurelyn wrote for Jack..just beautiful.

Narrators: The dual narrators who interchanged chapters performing Jack's POV and then Laurelyn's was such a treat! I loved this audiobook! Robert Black's voice is so alluring and Bunny Warren did a great job as well!

WISHLIST: PLEASE PUT THE 3RD BOOK ON AUDIBLE…..PLEASE!!!!
