An interesting twist

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This was a different take on the story of beauty and the beast. All around a really good story. I’m not sure I like her father being written as a fool and a thief but for the ultimate end goal of the book it was necessary.
This book is about a young girl who finally finds herself and learns to accept it rather than listening to what society tells her she should be. I do feel this is a feministic type story but it works and I am glad to have listened to a wonderful story.

A WONDERFUL STORY OF BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. BELLE IS FUN, AND DOES LOVE THE BEAST JUST NOT AS YOU WOULD EXPECT. MAKES ME WONDER WHO THE BEAST ENDS UP WITH?
MARIAN ELIZABETH IS A WONDERFUL NARRATOR! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS STORY AND IT IS CLEAN!

Fairytale

This was a nice retelling of Beauty and the Beast! You think you know how the story is going to go but it is different in so many ways. The ending very unexpected!

It's NOT Disney, It's Better

This is a very good story that is based on the Beauty and The Beast story. I am not familiar with the original tale but I find this one much better than the Disney version even though I do like the Disney version very much.
I was concerned that this story would not be clean enough for the family but there was nothing to be concerned about. This is a cleaner story than Disney made considering Disney added a lot of "adult" jokes to keep the grown ups in the theaters. There is however one moment where a carving of a phallus is found on a table and there is a series of comments about it and its uses. Other than that one instance I cannot recall anything else objectionable.
The narration was perfect for the story. Easy to differentiate characters with separate voices.
