Great Series!

First time reading/listening to any book by Catherine Cowles! Not at all disappointed! Love the narrators too! So many of the audible books would be great if only the authors picked good narrators! I’ve had to stop listening to some before I could even get very for in the story.

Perfectly Titled, Beautiful story

I loved loved loved this story. Catherine Cowles really does know how to write a beautifully (perfect series title) love story. Anna had a really hard adolescence with her physically abusive father and a mother who turned a blind eye only to be deceived and betrayed by the one person she thought she could count on, her teenage boyfriend. After spending time behind bars for a crime she didn't commit, she begins building a new life. She's let her past go with the exception of her sister, who finally comes around and believes begins to believe that Anna was truly innocent all those years ago. Just when it seems like they'll be able to get back to the sisters they once were, Chelsea, Annas sister, is found dead and thus a custody battle for Chelseas two children, Justin and Lyla, begins. Anna cannot allow her abusive parents to raise her niece and nephew. Enter Mason. He's been crushing on Anna for 2 years (as has she on him) but since she's been playing defense with him the entire time he hasn't really made a move. He's there when Anna gets the news of her sisters death and proves over and over that he's gong to be there for her through it all. With her criminal record and her parents ability to keep their secrets hidden all those years it's not looking good for Anna's case. Mason offers to marry Anna, giving her the stability she'll need to prove she can take care of the children. I loved the way they fell in love with each other and the children truly becoming a family unit.

This book will give you All.The.Feels. You'll love Anna and Mason and the kiddos. You'll cry with this story, laugh and even get extremely angry - I wanted to throat punch Mason's sister, Juliette, on more than one occasion. But overall, I wouldn't change a thing about this book. Catherine Cowles did it again... can't wait to read whatever she comes out with next!

So nice I listened twice

This is a great series and I wish there was a story about Juliette in the series.

Beautifully Broken Redemption is the 5th and final book in the Sutter Lake series. This could be read as a stand alone but is more fun read in series order. Wow! Wonderful audio! Maxine Mitchell and Aaron Sherlock deliver stellar performances! Honestly, this was probably my favorite. It seriously pulled on my heartstrings. Anna helps run Hope House in Sutter Lake, a homeless shelter that she once called home after a few bad choices in her youth. Mason volunteers at Hope House and has always been fascinated by Anna but Anna won’t give him the time of day. Mason is friends with Kennedy and Cain (from book #4) which means Anna sees more of Mason than she'd like. Tragedy strikes and Anna needs Mason's help to protect her family. I loved how strong and brave Anna is. I was so happy for her to finally have a HEA. It was also fun to get glimpses of the couples from the previous 4 books. I love a small town series and Cowles has perfected the art of writing them. I think I have finally finished her backlist. I can’t wait for the next Whispers of You installment. Wow!!

This book had my jaw dropping from the get go! I’m so glad I went into this blind! I knew it had to be marriage of convenience because the cover screams it, but man I was not prepared the amount for angst and twists. I ate this book up! My husband literally laughed at my audible reactions. Which included, but are not limited to, gasps, what?!, yessss and omgggg’s.

The narrators were incredible and brought this story to the next level!

I absolutely love Anna and Mason together! I loved how weary she was of him and how big his heart is! They both have pasts that haunt them, Anna more so, but it was beautiful seeing them over come those things. Plus that had crazy chemistry! It’s a bit of a slow burn but amazing.

I am just amazed about how much is packed into this book. I felt like I was constantly on my toes. If you love romantic suspense then you must read Catherine’s books! I loved every second of this one.

Sweetness

If you haven't read or listened to this series...what are you waiting for. This is another fantastic story and the only problem is that I "read" it to quickly
Catherine certainly draws you into a story and plops you right down so that you feel like you are right there with them. Also, the narrators for this set are fantastic. Enjoy!!!

Such a good story. The character interaction is good and the love story is so sweet

The narrators were perfect! The storyline was amazing! It was heartbreaking and suspenseful but also heartwarming and had me loving every bit of it!!

Love this Marriage of Convenience & Perfect End

“I had some bone-deep knowledge that Anna was made to be mine, and I was made to be hers.” Review: This is book 5 in the Sutter Lake series. We met Anna in Beautifully Broken Control and I adored her! So excited that she gets to tell her story now. Anna has been betrayed by those she loved in the past. She is the head of Hope House and loves every minute of it. Mason is the VP of Halo, a security company that Cain started. He volunteers at Hope House regularly. Mason met Anna while volunteering at Hope House and has always been drawn to her. It was clear she kept people at a distance, so he tried to slowly become her friend. When tragedy strikes, Mason steps in to help Anna in any way that he can. My heart broke for Anna and the lack of support she had from the ones she should be able to count on the most. She is so strong and determined though and I connected with her on so many levels. I was cheering her on. Mason was amazing with Justin and Lyla. He melted my heart for sure. I love how strong and selfless Mason was when it came to Anna, no matter who was involved. I laughed, I cried and I definitely swooned over Mason. He is the perfect man to help Anna and be there for her in every way. I loved their relationship and how everything worked out. I loved getting to catch up with everyone from Sutter Lake. This really was the perfect ending to the series. I am going to miss them all! Don't miss this one!

Okaaaaay — i LOVED this book. Mason? Oof. He was perfect. And Anna? Loved her as well. The mystery and suspense? It was addictive. Loveddddd this book.
