What if God was in the business of healing the soul just as much as He was in the business of healing the body? What if that diagnosis you received was not because of a lack of faith? What if the call to have fellowship with Jesus also requires that we have fellowship with Him in His suffering? What if the inevitability of pain and suffering was able to bring about something beautiful in our lives?
If you are in a place where you are needing a practical theology of the idea of how to face suffering when it comes, Beautiful Suffering might be something that you should hear to give you hope and strength to endure.

I related in so much ways to Kevin story, Many Yes’s can be detrimental. The word No is actually a good word, it places boundaries even in the work of God.
I’m excited for others to be encouraged in a time of suffering because God will use your suffering ultimately for his Glory and a blessing in disguise. Thank you Kevin for your vulnerability and transparency it will break chains!
Beauty In Suffering

I thought I would read a book about the lessons learned in our sufferings; however, the stories in this book are much more than that.
This book does well to explain how God sees the details in our trials and that our Lord is more concerned with our holiness versus our comfort.
The author was faithful to the scriptures and expounded very well how many have adopted the false but prevalent ideation of a utopian gospel. He speaks against the " word of faith” teaching where we do not get sick or suffer hurt if we have faith.
My favorite parts were the individual stories shared by the author's guests. I listened to this book on audible, so hearing the stories from the individuals in their voices was a warm feature that augmented the listener's empathy and relatability.
I appreciate everyone's vulnerability in this book, including the author. It's always a great reminder to know that we are not alone in this journey.
Not what I expected, but what I needed
