A good follow up to the movie.

I’m looking forward to the next book in this series. Fingers crossed it happens. This felt like a Batman story, unlike the later movies.

PERFECT SEQUEL

I had such a fun time reading this book. amazing storytelling, amazing character development. I feel like this is a perfect sequel to Batman 89

Great Follow UP To Batman 89!

This was a fun listen that fills in a lot of info that lef up to the Keaton Batman 89 and shows you the after effects of the events of that movie. Some very nice origin stories and in depth look at the "Bat Tech". I am going to watch the movie again because this book will make youaware of little details you missed when you saw it before.

surprisingly well done

I was expexting a mid book that I would appreciate just because I love batman 89. this book surprised me because it was incredibly well done! mayhaps no S tier book, but a cut above the schlock this genre is known for.

Continuing Burton’s Batman

The story provided a very interesting and unique telling of one of Batman‘s most well-known villains. It also allowed the reader to envision how this would’ve been portrayed on the big screen had Tim Burton been allowed to make something like this

GOOD STORY - NOT GREAT!

I felt a bit let down here. I'm glad this involved the Michael Keaton from his FIRST Batman movie, inst÷÷ the freaky one with Danny Devito's raunchy, disgusting Penquin and Michelle Pfeiffer's nutjob Catwoman.

The Bruce/ Batman/ Alfred / Gordon, with some Knox back-and-forth was good, and Clayface/ Hugo, and Thug(s) was helpful.

Still, disappointed at the end. A little background, music would be nice. 35 years - My Wife and I got Married the sane year. Now, we have 3 Grandkids.

Good read, and listen - Fine narration, too.

Want more of this!

Fantastic. I want more books like this. Any Batman fan should listen you most likely will know the twists and turns of the story as the introduce characters but it is done well.

Excellent sequel

Good story considering what they had to work with. Wraps up a lot of hanging threads from Batman '89 which was nice. My only (small) complaint is that it kept reminding me about something that happened in one of the Arkham games. Looking forward to the next book in 2025.

Fantastic story

This was a wonderful addition to the Burtonverse and had it been a sequel film it would have made Batman Returns a wonderful bookend to the trilogy. It sets up that film so well and gives background to so many elements that came through even into the flash crossover, all in all this is a great read with good pacing. It makes the Keaton Batman more real and it highlights more of his detective skills, ingenuity as well as combat abilities under fire.

Two Jokers in every deck!

A well thought out sequel that fits into the “Burton-Verse” like a glove. The dialogue for all the returning characters feels genuine to each. There is one loose end that leaves the door open for sequels without being consequential to the main story, and seems to negate the Schumacher films.
