Each encounter frightens him and solidifies his fear of the power of humans, until he makes a discovery about the harm that humans inflict on one another. As he grows up, Bambi discovers the true nature of power and compassion, and will come to understand his place in the balance of living creatures.
The story is a challenging exploration of the impact of humans on the natural world and creatures, but has all the charm of a coming-of-age novel. Bambi’s themes remain relevant and meaningful nearly a century after its original publication.

Triggering if you are a woman.
Book seems obsessed with fawning over how beautiful male deer and male pheasants are and never comments on female beauty.
the main character bambi, practically begs to make love to another deer, she says yes under the condition he will stay with her.
he says yes and then after making love he ends up leaving her. she is heartbroken and bambi couldn’t be happier. she is a very sweet and kind and loving character who never did anything to wrong him. it was one of the worst things i’d had to listen to. just awful. like what the f***. oh and their first cousins.
