This is a fun story about a girl that grew up with money then lost it, and a boy that grew up working hard and is still struggling. All they need to do is have a baby, but it's never that easy.
Standalone with no cliffhangers.

Fun, Cute, and Steamy

This is a best friend's brother fake relationship story that is both cute and funny and full of steam. When rich girl Valentina finds herself broke because of her father's actions, she turns to her grandmother for help. But instead of money, her grandmother says that if she gives her a grandchild she will inherit all of her vast fortune. When her best friend suggests that the money would help her brother's struggling construction company, Valentina gets it in her head that he'd be the perfect guy to have a baby with. While they are not exactly friends, Hudson can't deny that the money would help, plus Valentina has grown into a beautiful woman that he wouldn't mind sleeping with. But their path to the money and making a baby aren't without their obstacles, the least of which is the fact that they start developing real feelings for each other. I don't think anyone but Holly, the best friend, had any idea how this story would turn out in the end.
The narrator did an amazing job with this book. The sweet southern drawl used for Hudson is an absolute delight to listen to and she picked a great voice for Valentina also. The story is brought to life and full of emotion.

When Valentinos Daddy goes to jail she offers her best friends brother a deal help her get pregnant so she can inherit money from her grandmother and she will give them some to see if his construction business. Hudson feels like he has no other choice, not that he would pass up the chance to be with Valentino who’s had his interest for years. This is a cute fun read and although they have a few racy scenes it was not so much that I thought it deserved less than five stars. It’s what you come to expect with McCanna James fun, love and sexy time. Will Hudson and Valentino get pregnant will he realize in time that Valentino loves him too. Get the book to find out it’s awesome! It is totally worth the credit and totally worth all five stores. I didn’t like the male boys the narrator did I thought you made him sound like a gangster and not a respectable construction worker, but she did well enough that I totally enjoyed the book.

Great Storyline!

Loved the storyline. Great characters. There is love, betrayal, heart break 💔 and happy ever after.

Cute and Funny.

So many emotions this book had me laughing out loud but it also had me feeling for the characters. They had a few misunderstandings and struggles but the eventually get they're HEA. I really loved this book.

fear and frustration leads to love & having it all

Baby Inheritance by McKenna James is a well written and at times humorous romance with interesting and engaging characters. The plot of this book, at first, seems materialistic and selfish, but after these characters are revealed to the reader/listener and each other, it's clearly much more than that.
Hudson, while struggling financially with his business, is not cynical so much as wrapped up in his own current problems. Valentina has a whole set of issues, problems and then some! These two together seem an unlikely pair until they start spending time together and realize that the ulterior motives for their contract are so much more real than the requirements of the agreement they made with one another.
The antagonist plays right into Valentina's fears and vulnerabilities, nearly destroying what Hudson and Valentina have created together cautiously but with happiness, joy and optimism.
Overall, a fun listen with a narrator that showcased each character believably throughout consistently. For the story, Hudson and Valentina get their HEA and some justice too.
