  • Mr. George Brophy and his daughter Anita are involved in a fatal car accident. They are unharmed, but the other driver is not so lucky. Witnesses at the scene of the accident identify the other driver as the son of Johnny Michaelis, one of the biggest gangsters in London. The next day, the story of the accident makes the newspaper headlines, but George Brophy's name is left out of the story, because the reporters know that Johnny Michaelis would be looking for him. Brophy pays a visit to Peter Troy to hire him for protection. Peter says that he is definitely not interested. Then, Brophy says that the protection is not for himself, but for his twenty-one year old daughter Anita. He says that all you have to do is get her on the 11 o'clock plane to New York. Brophy then shows Peter a picture of Anita. Of course, that changes his mind about the job.
