Jill Quint, MD, is a forensic pathologist, vintner, and future private investigator from California. She joins her three friends in Antwerp, Belgium. In the diamond industry hub of the world, they plan to enjoy their annual girlfriends’ vacation exploring the museums, food, and beer of Belgium and the Netherlands.
Jill Quint, MD, an expert in forensic pathology and an aspiring private investigator from California, went to Antwerp, Belgium with her three friends. The city is known for its renowned diamond industry and the group planned to enjoy their annual girls outing by visiting museums, trying out the local cuisine, and tasting Belgian beer. While on their trip, the Americans came across a woman in a Belgian restaurant having an allergic reaction. She was administered CPR but died later at the hospital even though she had been alive upon arrival. An autopsy of the deceased revealed that it was not just a severe nut allergy that killed her; it was something more sinister. What might have caused her death? Questions remain.
When a medical emergency thrusts Jill and her friends into a deadly case, they team up with Belgian police and Interpol to uncover what is so valuable in the diamond trade that someone would be willing to kill for it.
