Holy cake

What a wild ride. I don't even know what to say other than that book had so many twists and turns I got whiplash. I NEED THE NEXT ONE. RIGHT. NOW.

I loved every moment of it! super fun must read and listen to! I cant wait for the third installment!

Great sequel

I really enjoyed the first book, so I picked this one up. love the characters. the narrators were awesome too.

story felt a little slow in the middle, but as it moved on, it all made sense.

Used Audible and was fully immersed... Awesome!

This book was awesome!

I listened to this on Audible and let me tell you, hearing each character played by diffmmerent narrators was the way to go. The groups' acting was excellent. Each voice was truly distinct which gave it a more organic feel.

The character development was superb, the writing so well done it felt completely immersive! The pacing was brisk but not breakneck. The whole book was one cohesive action packed thrill ride and may even be more amazing than the first book, Aurora Rising. I am waiting (not so) patiently for book #3... it is already on my Will Be Manically Checking For A Release Date list... it's a very exclusive list.



Overall:

I can't reccomend this book highly enough and the audiobook even moreso. My reviews are usually on the lengthy side but this book left me speechless. Was it the best book ever? No but it was a damn fine approximation. You should definitely add this one to your Must Read Sooner Rather Than Later list for the year, you'll thank me later!

Ok, enough list talk... go ahead, pick this book up and dive in... it's worth the time and emotional energy spent.

Another amazing performance.

First off- the voice cast has once again given an amazing performance. They really have given life to the characters. The book is just as good as the first and gives us more answers, while bringing up more questions. The ending- Wow!! I can’t wait for the next book!!

Good series

Good series for a long and I mean A LONG read for a holiday or a train trip ect

Great book!

It was a great book but it had the worst cliffhanger ever! I loved this book and even though I Hate cliffhangers I would still have purchased it. But now I have to wait another year to find out what the heck just happened. It was so immersive I felt like I was watching a movie in my head. This series will def be going into my reread folder. It was wonderful and I'm looking forward to book 3.

The One Where It All Goes Wrong

I attended an event where the authors described this book as the Empire Strikes Back - where our heroes are all separated and everything goes wrong. This book is both amazing and agonizing. It is so good, and yet it is also emotionally draining. Read it, but be prepared for emotional turmoil.
I was so happy to get more background on most of the characters. In the first book I felt like I wanted to see more out of Zila and we finally get that. Kal is where this book shines, though, if you couldn't tell from his handsome face adorning the cover. Kal and Aurora get closer this book, which is all I ever wanted, and we get to learn about his past. But at the same time that I'm thrilled to be learning about all these characters' pasts, their deep dark secrets are being revealed and that isnt always great for teacm cohesion. I desperately need the next book right now. Be forewarned, thar be cliffhangers here.
