Resumen del Editor

Books 1-3 of the thrilling post-apocalyptic survival series, Atomic Threat, now available in one set!

The nation is thrown into darkness. Nuclear attacks kill millions. No one is coming to save you.

When the warning of an imminent attack on America appears online, Jack assumes it's a hoax. But after the electrical grid is wiped out and a nuclear bomb levels downtown LA, his world crashes down. He's got only minutes to save himself. And the worst part? He's a thousand miles from Annie, his wife.

Annie is in Austin when a plane falls from the sky. Soon, the capital is torn apart by a coordinated terror attack and panicking citizens. Stranded in a city thrown into chaos, Annie's only escape is blocked by armed guards. Should she risk her life trying to flee, or face the nightmare rising up around her?

With time running out on the West Coast, Jack must search for safety before it's too late. How can he escape the violence breaking out in LA and make it home to Texas? And will Annie still be alive if he does?

Atomic Threat: Books 1-3 is a post-apocalyptic thriller series about ordinary people fighting to survive the end of the world as we know it.

how many times can this book make me say DUMBASS?!

honestly it's an ok series but Charlotte's cluelessness drove me nuts and annie was doing good for awhile listening to her gut but still made some seriously STUPID choices that got her into more trouble than they were already in... common sense is definitely NOT a common thing anymore 🙄😒

A typical post apocalyptic tale

This is more a single book than a trilogy. As such it has a single plot that meanders slowly through the three parts - each of which repeats background in a futile attempt to standalone.

There is action, adventure and cross-country treks to attain redemption. There’s a fair amount of “information” straight out of a peepers guide to nuclear war... but compared to other novels in this genre, it is very low key and well positioned.

Much of the drama in the book is created by listening on the characters’ thoughts and motivations. Those are equally repetitive.

Overall, I think this would have been more enjoyable as a single book of about half the length... but it’s a solid listen.

I received this audiobook for free in exchange for a review

Post apocalyptic survival... with training wheels!

I only listened to a measly hour of this, and from what I heard, it wasn't THAT bad, but I would say that it seems like it's written for people who don't know the first thing about the genre, EMPs, survival, etc, etc. Everything is explained and rehashed over and over. If you listen to a lot of books in this category, I think you'll find this extremely frustrating, as I did. Not only that, but there were parts that were pretty far from realistic, as far as behavior goes, but probably not in a way that uneducated listeners are going to notice. Even for those just finding this post-apocalyptic genre, there are much better choices, but this IS a very long listen for your credit. I'm grateful to the producers for releasing the three books together.... unfortunately, it's just not my jam.

A Comedy Of Errors

This was one of the worst books ever. The author obviously knows nothing about atomic warfare or its aftermath. People wandering around the nuclear landscape within days without harm. Of all encounters, none are with decent, ordinary people. Apparently, all survivors, except for the protagonists, are psychotic monsters. The dialogue is childish. The protagonists are moronic. Their decisions are almost painful. Added to this, the reader sounded like he was reading to toddlers. His sing-song tone added to the misery. I wasted my credit. Don’t waste yours.
