This was a debut novel?!

I would have never guessed that this was a debut novel from DM Darcy. The character and worldbuilding was exquisite perfection. With twists to keep me guessing and turns to rip my heart out, put it back, only to do it all again. Let me tell you I loved every minute of it!

Paige and PJ were absolutely wonderful in the performance of this book. They made me love them as Ves and Ryc one moment and hate them as secondary characters the next. Which tells me they're masters at their craft. Both have such amazing range that each character was a brand new voice.

Definitely recommend this one if you love romantasy between one above and one below. I cannot wait for book two.

Smart debut

This is my first foray into the romantasy sub-genre and it's not a bad dip. The world is well-realized and the characters engaging; the two VAs doing the narration do a good job in selling that. Looking forward to see what this author has coming.

Great listen, good story

Duet narration, and performed well by both narrators. The story was good too, slow in parts, but it kept me interested. It was emotional, dark, and built a good romance. Definitely, looking forward to the next one this fall!

what can I say.. the story is beautiful so many feels. I didn't want this to end at all. I definitely need more. once you start this you can't stop. I charters are a amazing, the world building amazing. so much wonderful things about this book. D.M. Darcy has out done herself for sure. the narration of this book top of the line!! Paige and P.J. are truly epic narrators so talented that I have to listen to every thing they narrate. I definitely recommend this book to anyone. you won't be sorry that's for sure! Catalina Ashley
