perfect family listen

This is an amazing family book. we are always on the lookout for books we can listen to as a family. Unfortunately more often than not most family books are not very appealing for the parents. this one was. I found the Mother character interesting but I mostly loved the way the kids saw the adults. It definitely garnered lots of giggles from the adults in the vehicle. Can't wait to listen to the next two.

HOLY GUACAMOLE

This may just be my favorite book! It had everything to make it the best book in the entire universe! Such a fan must read! I think real Boy Scouts like me, who love nature will love it even more!

This was a fun, light change of pace from the military sci-fi I usually like listening to. I loved the narration—the clever point of view of a young mind, with a story that was interesting to a grown man. Left me wanting more. Well done, John August!

Excellent for entire family

The whole family (kids 6 & 9) loved this book. So engaging it only took us less then a week to finish... can’t wait for the second book.

If the story was longer, it would rival HP

I thoroughly enjoyed and I was completely enthralled by this story and I’m an adult. The writing and the friendships so wonderful!

great listen souch intrigue.

this book starts of with confusion and you aren't sure why. stick it out it is absolutely worth it. a tale of friendship and good vs. evil that doesn't give nightmares. it is absolutely ful of mystical fantasy. so glad I found it.

LOVE this! I purchased a hard copy from a local bookstore (supporting small business is cool) but I also used a credit to listen on audible. I'm giving the hardback to my 11yo for him to read. I know he will love it and we will be able to chat about it!!
