I was Soooo Waiting for this One - Worth the Wait!

Bear-shifter Anton was taken and experimented on, and now has a "beast" inside of him. AJ is like a sister to all the brothers, Anton does not have brotherly feelings toward her, but stays away due to his beast. In each prior story we see the sparks that fly between these two. Now they finally get their story.

What a wonderful conclusion to this delightful series. These stand on their own - but they are so good you will want to read them all!

Short, passionate bear shifter romance!

Sweet shifter romance with some steam! AJ has loved bear shifter Anton for years, and Anton wants AJ, but he has issues so hasn’t pursued her. Finally, they have a moment, but Anton makes a bone headed decision after, which causes problems. Plus, there’s some bad guys on the loose causing more issues! I liked AJ’s sass, but I do wish she would’ve made Anton grovel a bit more. I liked Anton too, but I wish he was a bit more communicative. Also, I feel like he needed more support to fully accept himself; he was getting some bad advice from the rest of his pack and the internet. AJ and Anton do have some on fire passion though! I haven’t read the previous books and I wasn’t lost, but I still think it would be best to read the previous books. There’s a lot of previous characters and problems in this book. Still a fun, entertaining shifter romance.

I listened to the audio on Audible, and the narrator did a good job. He fit the feel of the story well. This book has characters with accents, so that was fun to listen to. Enjoyed the listening experience!

I’m so happy that Anton and AJ are finally together. Anton did believe he deserved love but thankfully AJ shows him that he does.

Love a Bear Shifter Romance

Selena Scott has hit it out of the park again with Anton's Mate. I love the way she tells a story and the steamy scenes are on point.

Strong conclusion

Anton's story is what you have waited for the entire unfolding of the rest of the series. Even while all the other brothers got their loves, you saw Anton in the background avoiding life. So finally getting his story, the resolution to the plot explained throughout the series, and the explanations for his behavior were such a nice conclusion to this series. I would definitely recommend reading the full series, and in order so you understand everything explained along the way.

Shifter love

I love a good shifter romance book.
I dont think I could have come up with the accent of Anton even if I tried.
to have things done to you that change how you feel about yourself is something hard to over come.
Anton thinking he is not worth the love of AJ. AJ not wanting anyone but him.
wow what a wild ride those 2 have. I loved the book. I need to reas/listen to the brother stories now.

General Series Review, Followed by Specific Review

I could not get enough of this series! So much sweet and sexy and cute and funny and hotness and danger and OMG sexy times *insert blush and hand fan here* all in one set...all in each story btw. These shifters are fun (even if they have the classic neanderthal alpha thing going on....they're pushy in a sweet way, not the typical "dude chill out before she punches you" way). Definitely will be reading more by this author!
I actually started with this book and got so into it, that I stopped 1/2 through the second chapter to ho back and read the rest of the series first (I wanted to read the other characters stories, and I'm glad I did because Anton's relationship and character is given even more depth and backstory if series is read in order). Loved this book and how it approached certain topics/situations that sometimes make me anxious, but here these topics were approached in a much more gentle manner vs. a "BAM, HERE I AM!" way. It was like you were experiencing these situations/feelings/areas for thr first time right along with the characters, instead of merely having the element suddenly be intriduced out of nowhere and you have to accept it and deal with the fit just because. Yeah, probably not making any sense am I? Sorry.
Anyway, really liked Anton's Mate, and it closed the series nicely. A good story and story line. Now just wishing there were more brothers or some cousins would pop up from somewhere so the series wouldn't have to be over! If you haven't read this book, give it a shot (and thecrest of the series too!). If you like shifters and alphas having to work on their feelings and woo their non-push over mates a bit (before, during, and/or after sexy times), I see no reason why you wouldn't enjoy this series (and it's even better in Audiobook form, hello hot accent and growling! *insert drool and daydreams here*)

I highly recommend this audiobook and series. Author is one of my favorites and she does fantastic work. Narrators did a fantastic job also.
