A diamond in the gutter

I am pleasantly surprised by the writing and characters. Both story and characters were well written. Overall gave me more than I expected, incredibly written it doesn't feel like a cheap harem novel. The author makes you care about the characters and crave for more. I hope they add the other 2 books in audio format soon. The voice cast were incredible, very solid choice. Making the characters feel alive, real, and something that is truly enjoyable. With all that it makes all other harem novel pale in comparison.

good but aggravating

VA was good, story not my usual cup of tea but enjoyed the drama from start to "finish" really makes you want to strangle one character and with how this book finished, the author XD.

Better listened to than read.

This review is on the audiobook. When I read it, like a few other reviews, it started to dig at me around the 80% mark, guessing as I read it when it came out. My book review should be down there somewhere. But I almost put it down but I am glad I finished it, and looked up book two online and read a few chapters. It's a good book and the audiobook made it better for me. I am slower to average reader, a visual thinker with a lot of empathy, which made a rough patch in the book last a lot longer than it did in the audiobook. Looking forward to the next audiobook. And in the middle of book 2.

Really good stuff

A really good book but desperately needs the sequel. its a great nuanced story other wise and book 2 goes into some great depths

Great Novel

I really enjoyed everything up to the cliffhanger ending. if you enjoy slow burn romance with a focus on character development over plot this book is awesome. If you like bedroom action this may disappoint. Also not much of a plot as the focus is mainly on character development. Finally, the choice of antagonist is quite entertaining. Definitely a novel to read/listen to if you're tired of alpha gigga Chad with superpowers and perfect shaped hotties chasing him.
