Fascinating characters, true adventure

While somewhat epic in scope, this story is essentially a family story. It’s full of sweet, passionate romance and abiding love as the characters wrestle with sin and forgiveness, fear and faith. While it’s Meg and Davis’s story, Adam and Arilee and even Brax are seamlessly woven in. This book is rich and satisfying and I’m loathe to leave its pages.

Excellent historical fiction and narration

Leigh Foster is an excellent narrator who did a fantastic job with distinctive character voices. You really feel like you are immersed in the story and living life with the characters. Jennifer Q Hunt is amazing at writing dialogue and showing you what is happening rather than just telling you
through her skillful use of words. Her research shows in the historical details of her books and she includes wonderful author notes about that research at the end of her stories. She does not shy away from difficult issues during 1925 in the South. Most importantly, she includes elements of faith and how God is at work in the characters’ lives through her powerful themes of redemption and forgiveness. I love that this story takes place over a short period of time, one year. And also that it picks up shortly after where book one leaves off. Now I can’t wait to book 3! I was given a free audio review copy of All Now Mysterious (Wisteria House Book 2). All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own. What an absolute gem of a story!

The depth of historical accuracy, intriguing family saga, and beautiful redeeming faith in the lives of the Rutledge family is so powerful and had me almost in tears of joy and on the edge of my seat multiple times. This book was an absolute delight. Go listen!

Highly Recommended

I love this series! The first book was amazing so when I got the chance to listen to this one, I jumped on it and boy, was I not disappointed! It is a well-researched (a high compliment from a former history major!) and engaging family saga. I love sitting with the characters and the places they go. So very well done and can't wait to finish the series! Highly recommended!

Perfect historic fiction

Loved everything! The scenery, the characters (some remind me of my family, now gone), the story, the details, the redemption! Loved it!!!

Another amazing story

All Now Mysterious by Jennifer Q Hunt is another beautiful piece of the Rutledge family saga. This Historical Christian fiction with romance primarily focuses on the life of Davis Rutledge and his relationship with the headstrong journalist, Megan Woodhouse.

This story is filled with twists and turns that built tension and had me anxious for the main characters who I’ve come to adore. It’s centered around the Scopes monkey trial of 1925 as well as klan activity of the time.

The primary setting is once again the beautiful, antebellum Wisteria house. It weaves in the characters from Through Thorny Ways to add depth to the story.

I love the way Jennifer pulls me into the story as well as the way she creates tension that never becomes too much. Best of all, I love the faith that she shows in the lives of the main characters. Each one has their own journey, but their relationship with Christ moves to ever deeper places as they are refined as only the Lord’s “mysterious” ways can accomplish.

I listened to the audiobook (and also have the paperback) and it was well done by the same voice actress who did the first book. She does an amazing job with all of the voices.

You could read the book as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading Through Thorny Ways first to have a full understanding of the characters.
