AI is odd

the book was fine. The time-line seemed very compressed. Like complete defeat and fear happened in minutes. I would like to believe the human spirit of any person would at least test thier constraints immediately. I did not like the AI reader. The voice is good and I only heard one mispronounced word, but it is so flat. I prefer the narrator to show some emotion when reading. at least change tempo and tone at times.

Entertaining story! Good narration, and exciting moments. I enjoyed it. Had twists and turns, but overall very good.

The badger isn't bad. The hero is sub par and the story line just isn't believable.

Why virtual voice?

I’m guessing this could’ve been a wonderfully delightful book. However, the virtual voice made it absolutely bland and pathetic. There was no excitement. There was no sadness. There was no difference between voices. I listened till the end, but it never was the truly wonderful story that I thought it could’ve been. I truly hope this is not where we are headed with audiobooks!

Totally unbelievable, the animals that were trapped don’t exist in the islands they were on

These people would have died, period. It is not realistic that two people with no experience would be able to run trap lines even if the animals did exist on these islands

Dead man talking

AI narration is awful. Never changing cadence. Almost every sentence trails off the same. Emphasis on some words is on the wrong syllable, and occasionally the wrong word is chosen, like “wind” as in a watch instead of “wind”, as in a blowing breeze. I will never choose another AI narrated book.

Virtual voice ruined the story

Storyline was okay but the virtual voice ruined it. Couldn't get beyond the monotone and poor pronunciations. You can do better Audible.

Trying to get through this

Book started out with great promise…but 12 chapters in there is too much blathering…way too much description if that’s possible..also not at all believable..

Not a Fan of Virtual Voice

The story line was okay and I think with some decent narration the book would have been fine. The exact same voice and inflections of the narration was dismal!
