"And what was your eldest son's very first words?"
I was initially worried about the massive time jump from the previous book, until this exact moment (when Skippy asks Joe the above question). The answer (which I won't spoil) had me coughing and choking on the potato chips that were in my mouth.

BEST BISHOP EVER you must listen to this story
This is a great story! It keeps you guessing all the way to a well developed ending.
However, the best surprise is Joe Bishop. He’s still the same guy we love, but he has moved well along his arc. What a great job of taking all the main characters through their journey, and bringing the listener along.
Best book of the series!

I went through mourning for nothing!
When I finished book 15, Failure Mode, I was devastated because I thought the series was over! I seriously went through a mourning period and didn't listen to any audio books for about 3 months because nothing could fill that void.
The character development throughout the series has been beautifully done and I cannot wait to see how they will adapt and change in the books to come. With all of the possibilities left open for this story to follow, I anticipate some major shock and awe moments in the future!
Even if I hate any books that come to follow, I will listen to them all the same thanks to the dramatic and dynamic voice of the narrator. I really think it is his voice that pulls me so deep into the storyline that I loose track of reality, which I greatly appreciate.
