Resumen del Editor

Book two of the examination of the theological end-times view called preterism. What happens after a person adopts a very radical worldview? Does it affect their daily lives? Paired with book one, About Preterism, this book continues the discussion and discovery of the 21st century's newest eschatology. Gracious but broad brushed overall

I have enjoyed learning about Preterism and did not realize until after I bought both books About and After Preterism it was a critique.

That being said I still listened to both books to see what I could learn. The books provide some good back ground on some of the influential folks that have promoted Preterism.

The author seemed gracious and charitable giving his critique and it was easy to listen to. It also seemed to be a little broad brushed saying things like Preterism is not Christianity and mentioning some crazy sects that have taking Preterism where the Bible doesn't lead.

Preterism is not a sect of Christianity it is just a way to interpret scripture as in the past instead of scripture in the future. So while some preterist take things to crazy extremes so do some futurist. This is more of a condition of sinful mankind than the ideology.

That being said I'm happy to listen to these books and thankful the author wrote them. It is good to hear the warnings of taking Preterism to far.

Maybe he can write a book about taking futurism to far, which leads to Mormonism, Jehovah Witnessness, and cults that have gotten new revelation contrary from scripture and are the only ones that understand the book of Revelation completely.

My views have not changed I'm still a preterist idealist post mill leaky calvinist.

Catchy & Creative Work with Substance!

The Narration was done GREAT. It was spoken at a good pace, and written and read like it was meant to be narrated. The book delves into real life examples of how Preterism has affected the lives of Preterists both while they actively believe in Preterism and some after leaving Full Preterism. Most importantly, "After Preterism" covers some of the theological implications of Preterism.
"After Preterism" also demonstrates the very miserable nature of Preterism. PLUS, the author himself conveys his own misery, through his tone and attitude, in this book, because he was once a Preterist.

I like the catchy & creative expressions/rhetoric of "What Now?" and "What Then?"

However, let me critique a few things:
1st, The author should worry less about addressing the reader directly and quit worrying about what the reader thinks.
2nd, The author should quit referring to himself indirectly as frequently.
3rd, The author probably shouldn't get so personal, for example, "Hi there Don Preston." It just gives the appearance of an unprofessional work.
