Talk about vulnerability! 😳

In a world where, dare I say MOST, people hide their true selves and their true stories, it’s refreshing to hear someone be and speak truth. Especially, as it relates to loss and grief.

I often hear these topics colored with loads of optimism and positivity, careful not to “trigger” one’s sadness or anger or deep hurt. But if the intention is to actually move through the pain and find yourself again, sometimes laying it all out plain and simple, raw and real, is the best way.

And this author does just that.

Remer illustrates with her own life experience how the process of grief doesn’t happen on a certain timeline and may express itself in the most peculiar and/or destructive ways.

And it just is.

That’s the essence of this book…

And great for anyone who needs to see that there is a way through, to discover yourself again.

Incredible book!

Trudi’s stories through grief helped me to understand the feelings associated with loss that I’ve experienced in my own life and provide perspective. It was validating! Worth the read!

Authentic and vulnerable

The author speaks her truth with insight and vulnerability. She boldly and unapologetically tells how the numerous losses of beloved family members over the course of her life have challenged her to her core. But instead of letting these tragedies permanently embitter her, she chose the long and arduous path of healing. Her journey to shape a hopeful and peaceful future for herself is inspiring. Even if the reader has not herself had similar experiences of repeated grief, the author does a good job of educating on how to appropriately respond to someone who is experiencing acute or long-term grief.
