A luminous and transporting story, beautifully narrated. The language is stunningly memorable - poetic yet gritty, too. Immerse yourself in this spectacular novel.

A wonderful transport

I relished this story. I cherished and pondered every supporting word and emotion. Each poured from the author like honey from a pitcher or fog over a cliff. Nothing, however, was more precious than the time spent with Marvellous herself. This book remined me why I love to read.

Altogether wonderful

Superb writing, performance only enhances the storyline. My heart and imagination have been captured. I’m so glad to have been introduced to this author/actor.

Great stories within a story

Reminds me of the writing style of Hemingway. Short, bold sentences that bring out emotional responsive feelings. Wonderfully written and great protagonist, left me wishing for more.

I lost a day of my life. Not really ‘lost’ because I enjoyed every moment of this very moving tale of life. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt so connected with many of the stories with in the story.

Exquisite writing draws together lives in which suffering, hope and perseverance have dwelt together and love finds ways to heal damaged hearts.

The poetry

A beautifully integrated text and performance .I listened from beginning to end through the night and tend to listen again today.A genuine work of art.Very keen to hear more of this writter and love the sensitivity of the reading.

Lovely reading, great characters, deeply human. Very gentle and yet not sentimental or predictable. Once again, this other creates memorable individuals through writing.

Great story-telling

The story itself was told well, and the story-telling within was awesome. I really liked the narration. A sensitive and poignant relationship between young and old. Definitely recommend!
