I enjoy these holiday stories. Lily and Chases' story is the focus of book three. Lily is divorced with an young son and Chase is widowed from a less than ideal marriage. Despite the instant connection there are blockers. Lily doesn't want her son to get too attached to Chase if it isn't permanent. Chase's sister in law comes to Chase when she is pregnant looking for stability. And Lily's crazy ex wants to spend time with his son. Tis the season. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of A Witch for Mr Winter provided by the author.

Chase Garland and Lilly Paddington enjoyed working together at Love Potions. It wasn’t until an overnight stay in a nearby town due to car problems did they begin to think of each other as more than friends.

Lilly had her son Evan to consider, so she stayed away from the dating game. Her ex was no prize and she definitely didn’t want to make another mistake.

Chase had recently lost his wife in a car accident and wasn’t sure he was ready to move on.

Could the magic of Christmas and Christmas Grove bring these two star-crossed lovers together? Would Lilly be able to let go of her fears and accept the gift of love?

The narrator for this and the entire series is very good. She does well with all of the characters, making it easy to differentiate between them. I had read the book a while back but enjoyed it anew as a “bedtime story.”
I loved this story and almost all of the characters. The one I didn't like the reader isn't supposed to.
She and Chase worked together, were friends, and were attracted to each other. She didn't date to protect her son. He'd suffered enough from his father's desertion. She wouldn't take a chance on another disappointment. When a work trip stranded them the reluctance to spend time outside of work slipped.
The story is touching, the characters are people the reader would like as friends. The kid was real, a good one but not perfect and totally believable. Mom's most important part of her life is that kid. And, the boyfriend—a guy you'd want for your own or anyone important to you. It's one of those stories that end and after the disappointment of it being over...you just have to smile.
DO NOT MISS THIS CHRISTMAS TREAT!

This one was special

I enjoyed this one the most. The first two books were good, this one was great. Storyline is along the theme of the first two but adding a non bratty kid, was the special twist.
As always, the incomparable Gabra Zackman was perfection.
