It spoiled me for all others...

Absolutely love everything about the Verania series. Especially love Michael Lesley's narration.
The only drawback was when I went to listen to the next romance on my list; it was dull and boring. This series has spoiled me and shown me what a great author and narrator combo can produce.

This is a must listen for anyone interested in the genre, and even those who might not be. Its that good.

Hands down, the most joyful, dramatic, heart wrenching, humorous adventure story available.

I just loved it!

I have to admit I was a little hesitant to listen to this one only because it is supposed to the last one of the series but as my headline states I loved this story. TJ klune is an excellent writer. I was connected to each and every character. I laughed, cried, and shouted with and at the characters, which was really awkward since I listened to this while I was at work. Michael Lesley did a phenomenal job bringing the characters to life. if my life was as exciting and emotional as a TJ Klune novel I would want him to narrate it.

What a ride!

I have loved all of these books in this series. The characters you brought to this world were kind, funny and loving. Everything that I love in a book. Michael Lesley was exceptional as always. Thank you both for pouring your hearts into these amazing books.

I freaking looooooooove these books.
Honestly if you have not listened to the first one but and interested in trying, listen to the first chapter of The Lightning Struck Heart and you will know whether or not you will like the books.
But in all honesty Gary will BRING THE PAIN if you do not love and adore everything he has to say in these books...... and Tiggy will cry.

A Perfect Ending for Sam

This is book four in the Tales from Verania series, and the last from Sam's perspective. I already read this book when it was released in paperback, but it's always a delight to hear the narration by the extremely talented Michael Lesley.

AWUTS is a story that manages to balance out the hilarious and the angst. It's as brash and over-the-top as I would come to expect from a Verania book, and TJ Klune does a fantastic job finding a balance. It's lovely hearing from all the characters again. It's particularly delightful to hear from returning characters. Michael Lesley really brought his A game with the sound effects and additions to the story (in particular, a certain bard we've heard from before).

There are a couple hiccups in this initial release of the audiobook, that I believe the narrator has submitted for fix where certain lines in the book are repeated. However, I sometimes listen to the audiobook while also reading the text off my tablet, and noticed that some sentences were skipped over entirely? I know the coda from Consumption was skipped over entirely, but lines were definitely missing from chapter 16 and 19 in this audiobook for some unexplained reason (and who knows if that's it or if there were more). That's the only reason I rated this with four stars instead of five.

The epilogue had me bawling. It's bittersweet and lovely all at the same time. I thought the seven or so minutes at the end where Michael Lesley gives credits to the proper sound effects creators was a breather to end the audiobook. He also makes it kind of fun to listen to.

I didn’t think these books could be any better but ....

I just love this author and narrator combination. If they are not award winning yet they should be as soon as possible. The sound effects just add to the overall experience. When you are laughing even during the “credits” you know you just finished a fabulous book. Can not recommend enough.

This is the completion of the "Destiny of Dragons" story arc in the Tales from Verania series. It is everything we've come to expect from this series, and more… Enjoy! I hope that the teaser we are given at the end of this book comes to fruition in another addition to the Tales from Verania. I'd really like to see Justin get his happily ever after.

Loved this ending!!

The story was amazing and I listened to the entire series back to back. I have fallen in love with the amazing trio. Sam of Dragons, Gary and Tiggy, they make me so happy!
