Favorite

This is hands down one my favorite series ever. The author is superb I would highly recommend!!!

Took a bit to get going

The first book of the series was a little slow and it took effort to keep my attention. Books 2 and 3 were much better and I truly enjoyed listening to them.

I loved the narration. I love every battle scene, and following each POV as they experienced them. A satisfying end, IMHO. Loved my entire journey in the Banished Lands. Truth and Courage!

Great finish to the series

There is quite a bit of grim and heartbreak in this book, but overall it finished the series in solid fashion. Can’t wait to read more of this author’s work.

a good ending to a great series

John Gwynne writes very fun action fantasy with lots of suspense, lots of action, and compelling characters. somehow his books are simultaneously brutal, grim, and inspiring. probably my favorite thing about him as that all his books are wholly unique in the genre of contemporary fiction. Gwynne creates his own worlds and fills them with unique lore, unique creatures, and one-of-a-kind storylines. if you like hack and slash fantasy I highly recommend this book (as well as his others).

Whoa! Get ready for massive action Warfare!

Final book in this series that you do not want to miss. Creative, great characters, a bit of magic but mostly warfare that stands on its own. A lot of strategy and got to note how much I love the Bears and wolves!

A great ending to an awesome trilogy. It took me a little bit to get used to the narrator's accent but once I did, I thought he was great.
