It’s not quite as good as the new Electra McDonnell series by Ashley Weaver (which is my favorite historical mystery series) but I really like the author’s writing style. I haven’t decided if I like Milo yet. It’s hard for me to warm to an ex-playboy. I’m going to try one more book to see if I get hooked on the series.

Another great installment for these sleuths. Well Mrs. more than Mr. Nice narration, winding story, and surprising ending, to me at least. Recommend and awaiting the next installment.

This is the third Ashley Weaver book I've read. All are enjoyable and I like the characters.
I can recommend all three of her books.

What disappointed you about A Most Novel Revenge?

The narrator. Very, very similar voices for each character.

What was most disappointing about Ashley Weaver’s story?

A rehash of the first book with a few twists. Author should start afresh with a new story line.

What didn’t you like about Alison Larkin’s performance?

Distinguishing voice characterizations pretty much non-existent.
